I remember watching "the Raiders" on Shindig, Hullabaloo, Where the Action Is and those other 1960's TV shows as a kid - always thinking that frontman, Mark Lindsey was "Paul Revere". My brother and older sister set me straight, though. They were kinda campy - kinda cheesy - but they played some great tunes! "Just Like Me" and "Kicks" were two of my favorite songs! I think I've still got a greatest hits LP somewhere.
Farewell to Paul Revere Dick (his real name)! Thanks for the all the good times!

Those were good TV shows back in the day. I remember playing in bands in high school back then, and we did covers of those Paul Revere tunes. Thought that guitar riff in Kicks was neat.
RIP.

I have vague memories of those TV shows - I was in grade school at the time.
great tunes.
the Experience Hendrix museum in Seattle has (or had) a cool display about the origins of the Seattle (Pacific NW) sound featuring a lot of their stuff

Especially remember seeing Paul Revere and The Raiders on "Where The Action Is" and I think "Steel Pier" as well. My mom had all their albums when I was a kid and I loved their 2 songs "Indian Resrevation" and didn't they have a song called "Let Me"?
Very sorry to hear of this...another part of my best musical memories and influences has gone. It says he played and toured tight up until he passed...probably gave his life meaning and purpose and reason to keep going as long as he did..76 years young. RIP Paul. Prayers and condolances to his family and friends.

Loved those shows and P.R. and the Raiders were one of my favotire groups. I wore out several 45's of just like me by playing the song over and over.
Was a big fan of Phil "Fang' Volk on bass. Those were simpler times.
