Wilson Pickett Mustang Sally. 634-5789 That's My Number. Lucky to have been invited to a party at a Holiday Inn in Salem, Virginia for Wilson Picket in 1968. Didn't ask him about Duane Allman because I hadn't heard of Duane then. Wilson played the Salem Civic Center.

Love Sam Cooke.

Met Otis Redding in Roanoke, Virginia at the old football stadium that has since been torn down. Otis was reserved. Did say Aretha's big hit with RESPECT was the biggest payday for him as a song writer. Have no idea if Jaimoe was on drums. This was summer of 1967.

Never saw Martha and The Vandellas but Quicksand is my favorite.  Same for the Temptations.  Never saw them but love Get Ready and My Girl

Did see the Four Tops live once but didn't get to meet them. I think Levi Stubbs has passed on plus one more. Just Walk Away Renee is my favorite. Their cover of a Left Bank original.

Yes Levi Stubbs has passed away. Notice at the end. And scenes from Manhattan.  I've spent a lot of time there starting in 1953 when my dad was with Acoustic Research which, for years, had a customer listening and demonstrating sound proof room in Grand Central Station.

You are like QUICKSAND!!

I remember when this was new blasting on my car radio. I started driving in 1962 and my dad bought me a used 1950 Plymouth.  It had a great high fidelity radio but it took it about a minute to work after you turned it on. Old vacuum tubes.
