Keep recalling the interview on Conan where Gregg said he laughed so hard he about choked when Carter told him he was running. Wonder if that and the we finished the whole bottle actually happened. 😆

It's impossible to imagine JC drinking half a bottle of scotch with Gregg, who told the story many times and almost never otherwise said that he laughed so hard he almost choked. He wouldn't have laughed in Carter's face. That was metaphorical. I don't doubt at all that's what he was thinking.

I'm still trying to figure out if Gregg flew from LA to join the Allman Brothers in 1969 or if he hitchhiked getting a ride with a bass player across the country. 

Now I have to ponder whether Gregg and Jimmy Carter drank an entire bottle of booze!! 

LOL. I don't know what he did but I never bought that he hitchhiked and happened to get picked up by a bass player he knew. Doesn't mean he end up in the guys car. I have theories.
