Gregg Allman several times said " I wasn't at the big jam in Jacksonville that formed the Allman Brothers Band. I was the last guy my brother asked to join. I sometime have to think, if Reese Wynans could sing, I may not have been in the band".
Warren is going to put on a great show in Boston and the guests are impressive.
I think Jaimoe is 82 now. Glad he is going to be there.
Dickey said in an interview " When we lost Duane we limped along as a five piece and some of those shows were not bad. But we realized if we were going to keep going we would need to grow another arm. And that happened when we got Chuck Leavell".
Chuck was a spark plug for the band in late 1972 just as Warren was in 1989.
