I thought it was possible to search the Live Show Data base for guest artists but now i can't figure out how to do that. Was I imagining that?

It is - just use the Set List and Comment Search option from the Shows drop-down menu. This will search the fields where guest artists are listed, as well as anything else in the setlists or comments 
!
