Alan Walden was 83 and brother Phil was just 66.

In 1970 both brothers were with Capricorn records which was begun by Phil and Frank Fenter who was in charge of Atlantic/Atco Records in Europe and was responsible for bringing Led Zeppelin and King Crimson to Atlantic with Led Zeppelin becoming the best selling Atlantic artist in the 1970's with several multi platinum albums.

Frank I understand began No Exit Music to publish original material from Gregg, Dickey and Duane and suggested Phil concentrate on working with the artists on the lable while Frank ran the label.

In 1979 Dickey sued Capricorn for failure to pay him all the royalties due for Brothers and Sisters, Eat A Peach etc and won a 7 figure settlement. Other artists then began to file forcing Capricorn into bankruptcy.

Frank Fenter was ready to bring Capricorn out of bankruptcy in 1983 and was closing in on a deal with Warner Brothers Records to handle Capricorn releases but Frank suddenly died of a heart attack in Macon at age 47. With Frank's passing the Warner Brothers deal fell apart.

By 1994 Gov't Mule had signed with Capricorn.

Ironically Dickey attended Phil 's funeral in 2006. Gregg apparently continued his falling out with Phil Walden.

The actual Warner Brothers didn't work with music artists. I read when Jack Warner wanted to discuss budget concerns with the cartoon studio he had to ask where on the lot it was located.

Harry was President. Albert was Treasurer. Jack was in charge of production at the studio. Sam was in charge of technical support and bringing sound to the screen but died in 1927 at age 40.

Here is their story quickly.

No one in the Warner family has been involved since 1978 when Jack died.
