Last show ever, one year ago today. Reflections on a year (mostly) without music and a review of the Brothers

The last concert ever, one year ago today. Or that's how it felt when the Brothers played Madison Square Garden on 3/10/20. Some thoughts on a year without live music. Plus, a Playlist to keep you moving, and my Billboard review of the show. All in my second Low Down & Dirty post. > http://bit.ly/3l20Qvj

Thanks for writing that. Really captures a lot about this last year, very well.
I keep thinking that I was at a Sturgill Simpson concert in Pittsburgh with about 10,000 people just a week before the shutdowns. I can barely believe it, seems like a whole different life. And I struggle to think about when I’ll be comfortable in a massive indoor stadium (or even a crowded bar) again. But, I bet (and hope) that the comfort level returns eventually.

Good review. I thought Chuck singing Blue Sky was the highlight of the night for me. Blue Sky, something I really didn't realize until a couple of years ago, is my favorite song ever. And the guys really brought it home. Great musicianship. And I thought that night at the hotel that even with that level of playing the show wouldn't have happened if it hadn't been for the great songs Gregg and Dickey wrote for the band and of course Duane getting the band together in the first place and being the spark plug of the whole thing those first years.
We are lucky we all got out of there alive. I knew the virus was in the country but never dreamed it would be this bad. I haven't been back to New York since. I've been do many times since 1953. It's sad that crime is up and the Subway is so dangerous now.
I've had 3 friends die of Covid and one lost his wife too. Plus my doctor died of Covid too. Apparently caught it at the hospital.

Thanks guys. Robert, you'll be back in NYC and ridin the subway before you know it. there's a light at the end of tunnel.
