Looked it up, not seeing that this is underway - could be wrong, hope so, would like to see it - but not surprising, it's been talked about for years 😉 

I'm guessing that the movie that Mike Myers wanted to produce got shelved?  Back around 2005, Mike (SNL/Wayne's World) expressed interest in portraying Keith Moon.  In the link provided above, Roger Daltrey says that "... Moon would have to be cast from the eyes-out, because Moon's eyes were amazing..."  Moon did have amazing "big, round ginger bread boy" eyes.  Mike Myers does not (his eyes always looked kinda squinty to me).  Also, Myers has been too old for the role (59 - "Moonie" died at 32).  I hope they get an amazing newcomer for the role.

"He was a strange bunch of people" - Roger Daltrey.  Don't know really what else needs to be said.  If they go through with it, this film will be a WILD one.  IMO the film's success all depends on who they finally settle on to play Keith.  As Rusty mentioned, it's going to have to be someone a lot younger than Mike Myers.

Just a one year update & Roger says pretty much the same things about the project in a current story - enemy label, haha
