I guess every school that sells raffle tickets for their PTA to do nice things at their school is "skirting state spending caps." Laughable.

vinsanity is one of my heroes.

We have kids currently at our high school trying to raise money for an indoor batting cage which is needed due to the way our local high school property drains water and other reasons (field scheduling, season starts in winter). It's a cause I'd support regardless if these kids had thought of raising money for a different cause at one time.

If these teenagers can pull off booking a cool band and then taking those profits from a concert at the school to meet their fundraising goal, I'll be super impressed (it would mostly be the local school supporting themselves since most of the tickets would likely be bought in the community). If they go on a message board for that band to advertise the show to ensure they sell all the tickets, they'd be wise. If old dudes there call them scumbags, it would be a shame. If they are doing it years later, it would be sad.

The little a-hole miss-led everyone, including the band, as to what this "charity fundraiser" was all about.

Sad that this would make him a hero in your book.

He also told us how he managed to get tickets to every Beacon show for a run even though there was a limit of the number of shows you could get through the presale.

Noone ever denied him tickets even though he went against the stated policy of the pre-sales.

Privileged spoiled brat, not a hero by any means.

I think Ron was being kind. There was nothing kind or generous in anything that kid did. It was all deceit, self serving and all about his ego. Definitely not hero material unless you are the kind of guy that asks everyone to send their best shows because your house just burned down.

Ahh the good old days...
