@robertdee I've always been fascinated with the way he held the guitar - almost like a lap-steep. T-Bone could've been Chuck Berry - almost/sorta. He (and Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown) were huge influences on Chuck. I believe I've read that T-Bone actually suffered an illness or injury right at the advent of Rock and Roll. He certainly inspired all of the English and American "white boys" that rode in on his coat tails. That riff at ehe end - inspired a LOT of Rock and Roll songs - notably Little Richard's, "Lucille". Great stuff!
Posted by: @robertdeeIt's 9/11. First plane hit at 9:46am!
Here is Jim. Complete with dive bombers. I think when Francis Scott Key wrote this they were by-planes with two cylinders.
Jimi's rendition was just brilliant at the time and created outrage as some thought it was disrespectful. Jimi on Dick Cavett defending his playing the National Anthem
This girl is almost as good as Susan!! I think she has jammed with Gov't Mule.
Hey here is another girl electric guitar slinger!!
Joe Bonamassa let's a couple of girl guitar players rock out!! One plays slide on a sideways guitar. It's hot!! Try it, you'll like it!!
More from Larkin Poe. BTW they mention seeing Allman Brothers T shirts at two of their concert videos.
The girl on slide guitar plays a 1940 Rickenbacker Lap guitar. She says it's way older than she is but couldn't be happier.
Nice Warren Haynes interview article
https://al.com/life/2022/09/guitar-hero-warren-haynes-talks-govt-mule-gregg-allman-soulshine.html
@bill_graham Played with Gregg the first time in 1981. When Warren was with David Allen Coe.
Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts wrote some of the finest songs in rock history to me. Warren had some real good ones too but Gregg and Dickey really knocked it out of the park several times. Here is one of Gregg's finest.

Fender amp modeling pedals.
https://www.musicradar.com/reviews/universal-audio-uafx-woodrow-55-ruby-63-and-dream-65-amp-pedals
Never tried one but I have friends who are musicians who swear by modeling amps sounding like vintage Marshall's, Fenders, etc.
Would be curious to see how these modeling pedals compare to the real amps.
Johnny Marr plays Rory Gallagher's Fender Stratocaster
https://www.guitarworld.com/features/johnny-marr-rory-gallagher-fender-stratocaster
Posted by: @robertdee@bill_graham That was interesting. I'm a big Warren fan. Was playing his first solo album in the car today. I think it is from 1993 or so.
First time I saw Warren it was 1988 with the Dickey Betts Band at a good size club and they were promoting Pattern Disruptive.
Warren had two guitars that night on stage with him. Both were Paul Reed Smith guitars and one was silver.
Next saw him with the Allman Brothers and he had four. The same two Paul Reed Smith guitars, a red Stratocaster he used on several songs and a tobacco burst Led Paul probably used on a few more songs than the Strat. Silver PRS was on side on One Way Out. Didn't use it as much as the year before.
Only Keith Richards ( 4 to 5 thousand) owns more guitars than Joe Bonamassa. What is just as incredible Joe must have over a million dollars worth on amps. Supposedly has the largest collection of Fender and Marshall amps doesn't he. And hundreds of not over a thousand guitars.
I've met this cat. Guitar Porn huh? This apparently was composed for a Porn film. It's actually some decent bluesy playing.
That's pretty good!
@bill_graham Yes if I remember correctly, the first times I saw Joe with the James Gang he played a Les Paul. Later Joe would use a Strat a lot.
In recent years Joe is liable to be on anything and Teles often.
I usually enjoy Joe Walsh no matter the make/type of guitar. I'm a bit of a gear guy so I notice what ax someone is playing but who is playing and how they play is more important than the make and type of guitar/amp etc.
This actually has some electric guitar playing on it. It's a Strat I think. Clint once said if director Michael Moore had done to him what he did to Charlton Heston, Clint would have killed him!!! I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Clint say that. Temper, temper Mr. Eastwood.

1958 Les Paul Sunburst

@bill_graham It's a shame when George Harrison was burglarized. I remember that on the news. Then he had to ransom is own Les Paul which Eric Clapton gave him with another Les Paul ( this one) and other perks.
For a stolen Les Paul stolen from a famous musician, the Les Paul was sold around rather publicly. Some people should have gone to jail.
Here is an accurate reproduction given to Clapton.
John Fogerty stopped to fill up and he began singing to himself on the pump radio:)

A lot of guitar manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon producing reliced or artificially aged guitars to make them look like they have been played on the road for decades
Gibson was one of the first to sell these aged guitars from the custom shop Murphy Labs at a significant premium.
Here is an excellent article about Gibson's Murphy Labs

Derek Trucks on slide playing
https://www.guitarworld.com/features/derek-trucks-tedeschi-trucks-band-i-am-the-moon
@bill_graham Great article. Great read. Duane Allman's 50 watt Marshall playing live. And his Dickey Betts Brother to Brother SG guitar Duane's daughter gave him.
Duane got cut off at age 24. I'm so glad and thankful Derek Trucks, who is so close to Duane's spirit is still going at 42.
Here is a good slide guy. I saw him at a street festival once. You know him. It's ROY ROGERS on vocals and slide guitar with Dale Evans on bass and Trigger on drums and Pat Brady running the sound board.
Nice article on TTB Derek and Susan's rigs
https://www.premierguitar.com/artists/guitarists/tedeschi-trucks-bands
Enjoyed reading that. Their new albums are the best new music I've encountered in several years. I really enjoy playing them.
Derek mentioned in another interview he uses Duane Allman's 50 watt Marshall on stage. But not in the studio.
Derek bought Susan the 1970 Stratocaster as a surprise gift. Read that several years ago. Clapton gave Susan a red sunburst Les Paul but that wasn't mentioned. This must be the gear they used on the album.
In 1999 I'm rather sure I saw Dickey's signature on the Telecaster.
I heard on the 1978 tour Dickey owned the three guitars played, the tour bus and equipment truck.
No wonder it was DICKEY BETTS and Great Southern.
