For years, I’ve heard the story of Gregg bringing 21 songs to the band in early 1969, and the band passing on almost all of them until he got to “...Cross to Bear” and “Whippin’ Post.”

What I haven’t heard is what some of those other songs might have been. I wouldn’t think that he’d have brought any of the Hourglass material over to this new band, so I wonder if they were all new original songs or, if not, what those songs were.

Anyone have any idea?

Great question for the Big House or Kirk!

I think one might have been Bad Dream. I remember being surprised to learn that song had been kicking around for so long but no idea where I read that.

It seems Melissa would have been one of the songs as it was recorded before the ABB got together.
