Going to Asheville for Christmas Jam-any suggestions?

I am flying to Asheville from NYC for the first time on Friday for the Christmas Jam. Looked up the city on trip advisor and saw some good recommendations (I have reservations for lunch etc.). I am staying at the Super 8 which is about 2 miles from downtown and as a non-driver will be getting around with Lyft. I like brewery tours, handed crafted jewelry shops (for my wife) and partying. Any suggestions about things you love to do there would be appreciated.

Come to Malaprop's Books Saturday preshow. I'll be signing books Saturday from about 4-6.
And if you find a good brewery tour let me know. I'm in.

Participate in "Christmas Jam by Day" activities. Jack of the Wood (cool Irish bar) hosts the now infamous Kevin Kinney acoustic jam...you never know who will show up! We're going to the art gallery w/ Cabinet performing...they're pretty awesome and Ron Holloway plays with them, which is unusual b/c traditionally sax and bluegrass aren't associated. If you're into breweries, two words: WICKED WEED. Next door to the Orange Peel (which hosts the pre-jam)...and oh do they have some killer beer (and food)! You cannot and will-not go wrong...Asheville is amazing, especially during this weekend. There's a killer buzz surrounding Christmas Jam...it's world-renowned now and is probably the best "vibe" in live music considering the charity/season. Have a blast and hope to see you there...this work-week can't pass any sooner!

Breakfast..Tupelo Honey..Also. Chocolate Fetish..Was there in April. .A GREAT town

If you have time, go to the Biltmore Estate. It's a bit expensive, but worth it to see the Mansion. They also have a Winery onsite that you can go for a tasting and purchase their Wine if you're into that kind of thing.
Chimney Rock is not too far away and is provides an awesome view of Lake Lure. Beautiful part of the Country you'll be visiting.
Enjoy.
