Denny Laine is a contributor to some of Rock N Roll's historic lore being a founding member in both the Moody Blues and the Wings. He co-wrote and sang in both bands and when Paul McCartney wants you as his guitarist and writes songs for you to sing well you must be doing something right. Mr Laine brought his band The Moody Wings in to revisit his catalogue, He is 74 and he's still out there keeping his music alive, some vocals are harder than others to nail (especially when their Sir Paul's vocals!), but it was a treat to see him try. Most of the show highlighted his work in the Wings during 10 year run. He included some songs James Brown and Sonny Boy Williamson too. The band was tight and jamming. The crowd appreciated his efforts digging the gems and singing when prompted. A nice night of musical nostalgia.
