CBS-final allman brother shows

great researching…."gregg allman may start his own band". really? i wonder who will be in it. what will they call it? they should create a web site.

Anthony Mason needs to smoke a fatty, sit back and listen to fillmore east before he does another report on any band.

I was caught by that line too. Anthony Mason must not know that Gregg's had a side project for years. No mention of Jaimoe having a band & Oteil's bands / projects & same with MQ. I realize he may not have had time to mention everyone, but he did mention DT & WH...just saying.

I was surprised they didn't tell us he was once married to Cher.

Really! 😮

Anthony Mason of the NY Knicks would have done a better job!

Despite the lame line "Maybe Gregg will start his own band", it was actually very well done. Derek talked a LOT, and paid tribute to Duane's legacy and how he was influential right up to the end. Galadrielle had some very nice words as well about her Father in her short segment. But of course most here are going to dwell on that one stupid line.

And of course the Ramblin Men label under the group picture was a bit inappropriate. Too funny

Not really... to the regular viewer... Ramblin Man might be the only song the would recognize as an
ABB tune.... also points out the undeniable presence Dickey still holds in the "ABB" thang..

A song no one in the picture wrote and they haven't played in 15 years. Not a single mention of Dickey makes perfect sense.

Gotta' let people know who you are, by what you were best known for. 😉

No mention of Dickey by Butch?! 😮

LOL! Post of the day!
Basically it's hit or miss when it comes to the major news services discussing Rock acts. I've learned not to get too excited either way.
Too bad Ed Bradley wasn't still alive. If he was given the assignment, it would have been spot on. And he wouldn't have mentioned Cher either!

I actually think the version of the CBS show on this link was edited. The version that I have recorded (when broadcast) features the song, "Ramblin Man" at the front and underneath some of the interviews. I'm wondering if someone in the band (cough-cough) requested that the song be removed from the web post?
EDIT: Yep. Just re-watched the recorded version and compared to the internet version. Ramblin Man definitely removed. Too late to delete the Ramblin Men graphic at the front of the story, I suppose.
