Butch graced us all with one final colorful conversation just hours before he left us.

Wow.... heck of a final interview.

You could almost feel the tension between the old Butch jousting with the new, at-peace Butch as it unfolded.

His apparent suicide in light of this article is completely perplexing. So many forward looking thoughts and typical Butch expressions of life's enjoyments. Know Butch could get heated up over issues but to cross the line like he did in his family's presence is incredible. Just mind-numbing.

I would say maybe there's more to all of this then we will ever know.....Could be something happened after the interview that sent him into a spiral.....I don't think it's ever one thing that contributes to this...

Reading that last interview just makes this all the more confusing. None of it makes any sense.

Thanks for posting this interview. Hard to put in words the sorrow we all feel, especially for the Trucks family and their extended family & friends.

thanks for posting
My thoughts are the same as the others - he was looking to the future.
Just totally shocked.
Makes me wonder if he just didn't get some horrific medical diagnosis or something.
We'll never know and it doesn't matter, I guess

as an aside, one of the main reasons my wife and I started a garden is that we were in southern France in 2001 and fell in love with zucchini flowers. At the time you couldn't buy them here - you had to grow them yourself - so we did!!

Thanks Butch

Sounds like finances and maybe a problem with the wife....I remember very well when one evening my wife says "I've fallen in love with someone else"....did think about ending it a few times....but luckily after a separation of 8 months and thinking about the kids we pulled it back together

just sayin'
