Butch in his own words. Negative about President Trump and a little negative about Gregg and Derek. Very positive about Duane Allman and especially Jack Pearson and wonderfully positive about Jaimoe!!
Its long but if you haven't heard it it's interesting.
Now that I think about it, I'm surprised Butch said when Gregg Allman arrived the band played him Trouble No More and afterwards Gregg told Duane he wasn't good enough to be in that band. Then Butch said " Sometimes I wish Duane had listened to him".
I remember Dickey years ago saying when Gregg arrived they played him a couple of songs and Dickey said " We were really blowing and after we finished Gregg threw up his hands and said he he couldn't cut the gig. But Duane took Gregg out of the room and straightened him out. We knew it wouldn't have been complete without Gregg."
That was a little more optimistic about it. I can't imagine At Fillmore East and Eat A Peach being as good as they are without Gregg.
