Have always been thrilled to catch the Pedal Steel Wizard so was psyched to catch him today at the Capital. I will be praying for him tonight as his health situation has severely limited his playing. God Bless him for honoring the gig commitment and coming out to entertain folks. Buddy no one can or will ever outshine you!!!

Buddy Cage should be everyone's pedal-steel hero.
The way he he plays on "Meet Me In the Morning" on Blood On the Tracks is some of the best blues playing I have ever heard - not usually what a pedal-steel makes you think of.
NRPS lost some of their "celebrity factor" when the guys from the Dead left, but Garcia doesn't hold a candle to Buddy Cage. They became the ultimate hippie country band once he joined.
