Bale of weed found on Daytona Beach
We used to hear about these things in the past, some dreamed of finding such a stash back in the day.
This thing doesn't exactly look like "a bale."
And what is with the blood ? Yikes.
Save the "bales"
This story lost me at "....and then contacted the authorities".
Square.

Don't hide it, divide it.
This is true, but so Cheech and Chong kind of incredulous that I rarely tell it.... sort of, "yeah, sure"! so anyway:
1973 May.... El Paso. The only safe place we could party was down on the levee where the cops let the hippies be. Right on the Rio Grande, Mexico a stones throw across.... So a bunch of high schools thought a great place to have "real" Senior Parties..... so us Class of 73 from NE EP thought same.... trailers, generators, bands, kegs...... the real meal deal.... so mid party, me and a buddy were sitting on the bank of the Rio... feet in the water, beers in hand, just BS'ing, looking at the picnicking Mexican families on the opposite bank.
My buddy yells: "Look"! and points upriver a bit. There was a floating red thing. In those days, kilos were bricks, smashed down rectangles of pot. Often wrapped in red or blue or yellow construction like paper, and cellophane around that. Bricks. So my buddy says: LOOK! And then he flippin jumps in. I sit, safely with beer in hand, watching.
He drug a nice, but soggy kilo of weed ashore. Must have fallen out of a backpackers midnight load. Or something like that. So being there were a few fires and bar-b-q's going, it was chunked up and put on sticks and dried...... and given around a couple hundred kids.... went with the dozen or more kegs....
