My latest Lockdown Lowdown is a super fun conversation with blues legends Elvin Bishop and Charlie Musselwhite. Enjoy.

As always Alan real nice job. These guys are the real deal for sure and great stories. I love their work.

Something that caught my attention was your mention of Thom "Ace" Doucette. I love his harp. He seems like quite the character. We really don't know much about him and I take it that is the way he wants it. He has quite a history from what I can find out.

Do you think he would be open to one of your Lockdown interviews?

eap,

Steve

@steved Thanks man. I doubt he would. Thom is tough to pin down! Maybe the very last guy I got into OWO, after a big assist from someone from the band.

Thanks Al. Pretty much what I thought. It would be cool nonetheless. He rubbed elbows with a lot of people. How about a trio of Willie Perkins, Kim Payne, and Kirk West?

You can see I am pretty Allman- centric. Lol.

Thanks, Alan.  2 blues legends!  The album looks pretty good.  I'll check it out.

@steved I'd gladly interview any of them... all three together sounds a little complex for a Zoom! The downside of these things for me tbh is they take a lot of effort and it's just for the love of it. No sponsorship or money.

@steved - That would be cool, but I think it would be difficult to moderate, to make sure
everyone has their say and to keep the conversation flowing in a consistent manner. You could
justify an individual session with each of them. Maybe Kim would do it to publicise his new book.

@AlPaul - How about Jonny Podell? I bet he has some stories and not just about ABB.
My favorite so far is the Reese Wynans interview. Thanks for arranging and presenting these sessions.
