I am not going until a week from Friday at the Shubert Theater in Boston so looking forward to any reviews for this year's shows.
I went to last year's show at the Boston Orpheum and if this years are as good you are in for a great concert

Some new video clips posted on youtube recently look pretty good.. nice to see that Vaylor & Melody Trucks were included.

They Sound Fine, thx for sharing - enjoy the show at the Shubert - my gosh - when I saw the stage production of Hair as a kid, it was at either the Shubert or Wilbur Theatre
hopefully something will go online from A Brothers Revival’s gigs too, Dec. 2 & 4 in Fla. (D. Goldflies, M. Kach et al)🤙🎶🎸

There are a lot of Allman Brothers tributes in south FL recently. A Brother's Revival is pretty good one, but they might have picked the wrong week to play here after Duane's band played the Funky Biscuit and then the Allman Family Revival this week. Not to mention, another tribute, Stealing Peaches, has played the same venue a few times this year. And next month, we get Brothers Again. I mean, good for them if they can all keep doing it.

Posted by: @porkchopbobno but he was part of Duane's tour that ended in FL last week.
Yeah it is very curious as it seems that maybe there is something going on between Devon and BOjr?
In the Goldmine interview about this years Allman Family Revival with Devon he was asked what he has planned for 2023 he mentioned his new solo album and planning for next years Allman Family Reunion tour but no mention of activity for the Allman Betts Band.

I divide my time between NYC and South Florida. In October I saw the Berry O, benefit concert with Oteil who did two sets at Crazy Uncle Mike’s. One set was a Dead set with members of Crazy Fingers who are a Dead cover band and an Allman Brothers set with Melody and Vaylor Trucks. It was a great show.
I also saw the Duane show at the Funky Biscuit which was terrific. Perfect venue to see a show. Stachela is an underrated guitar player and I can’t say enough good things about Berry O.
I saw A Brother’s Revival earlier this year and thought they were good. It was just before they started touring heavily so the band was starting to mesh.
Stealin’ Peaches is on a different level. Their musicianship is fantastic and they do heavy jams and I am excited to be seeing them at the Funky Biscuit later this month.
I am in NYC and The Allman Family Revival is tomorrow at the Beacon. Unfortunately, I am missing the show as I have a ticket for The Hold Steady.
I saw Devon Allman in May with Samantha Fish and enjoyed him a lot more than I thought I would. My issue with with him in the Allman Betts Band was that I thought he was too domineering in the band and his vocals were overwrought. But he seems like he has mellowed out a bit and his band is great.

Most of these players are nice/b level and thats about it. There are some standouts though. I am sure it is a solid show, but if you want the heat as far as ABB music, look to Haynes, Trucks, etc.

Looking forward to it as last years concert was fantastic
The Wilbur is pretty small, so maybe you saw hair at the Shubert?
I have seen the Nutcracker at the Shubert but never a concert. We have 10th row orchestra seats so looking forward to it.
I have seen a bunch of concerts at the Wilbur, Hot Tuna, Rick Wakeman, Greg Lake, etc., and it is a great place to see a show

Here's a nice clip from Duane's show at the Funky Biscuit, which is basically Allman Betts without Devon.

Wife and I attended the Allman Family Reunion concert at the Shubert Theater in Boston this past Saturday. As I expected it was once again an excellent concert with a great setlist and several guest stars. We had 10th row seats right of center near the aisle so had a great view of the stage, but the Shubert is a small theater and basically every seat in the Orchestra is fantastic.
I did think last years concert at the Boston Orpheum had more energy and was a better concert but I don't think anyone will be disappointed going to this years concert.
Highlights for me were the Allman Brothers covers of Bluesky, Ain't Wasting No More Time with Luthar Dickinson's amazing slide and solos. A powerful version of Whipping Post and an emotional version of Jackson Brown's "These Days" with Devon and Maggie Rose singing a duet and using Gregg's acoustic guitars.
Dumpstatruck opened and have to admit I did not know their music but really enjoyed their short set
The core backing band band was basically Allman Betts without BOjr and Johnny Stachela. I did miss not seeing BOjr but have to say that Luthar Dickenson filled the gap of JS not being their by playing stellar slide and taking on the more challenging solo's. I am a big NMA fan so loved seeing Luthar in the band and his energy is infectious.
Core band pic
some pix of the individual musicians
One of the perks in the "platinum" package, which I did not purchase, was a tour of Gregg's guitar vault before the show. So is Devon playing one of Gregg's guitars here?
Duane taking a solo
Luthar playing slide during Bluesky. His solo was smoking and even Devon and Duane were smiling and nodding.

More pix from the show
Larry McCray playing some smoking Arkansas Blues
Jimmy Hall blowing a mean harp
Donavan Frankenreiter and his funky guitar
Devon and Maggie Rose playing Gregg's acoustic guitars on an emotional version of Jackson Brown's "These Days"
Final jam with all the guests and Dumpsta guitar player
Final bow
My last word is if you want a great night of music for <$100 a ticket I highly recommend this concert.

Saw this show two nights ago, great evening of tunes. Larry McCray has monster tone. Duane Betts is now a fantastic guitar player, he killed it. Devon was a good MC, his tone is a little tinny for my ears. Interesting that he introduced Duane as his “best friend in the world”, overall an awesome evening.

@bill_graham Gregg Allman owned 42 guitars when he died and all 42 went to Devon.
According to a gear page on Gregg and Devon, Gregg acquired the SG around 1973. There is a 1973 photo of Gregg with it on that site.
