Well, on youtube's Sea of Tranquility channel this month, the topic was favorite albums from 1966, so one album each day. I managed to pick some that I liked, including a few that I listened to for the first time. There's a ton from that year that I haven't listened to before, and I probably should. I didn't really rank mine, but since the moderator listed them from #31 to #1, I did the same.

Neil Diamond - The Feel Of Neil Diamond

Miles Davis -  Four & More: Recorded Live In Concert

Wilson Pickett - The Exciting Wilson Pickett

The Yardbirds - Roger The Engineer

Merle Haggard - Swinging Doors

Otis Redding - The Soul Album

Temptations - Gettin' Ready

Donovan - Sunshine Superman

Paul Butterfield Blues Band - East-West

Stevie Wonder - Up Tight

The Lovin' Spoonful - Daydream

The Mamas & The Papas - If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears

The Supremes - Supremes A Go Go

John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers - Bluesbreakers With Eric Clapton

Otis Redding - Complete & Unbelievable: The Otis Redding Dictionary Of Soul

Sam & Dave - Hold On I'm Comin'

Buffalo Springfield - Buffalo Springfield

Frank Sinatra - Sinatra At The Sands

The Lovin' Spoonful - Hums of the Lovin' Spoonful

Also, in those days before consultants dictated playlists and all media being owned by three corporations you had a good chance of hearing a good bit of that list on the same radio station.

I still have Sinatra At The Sands, a great live album with Frank backed by the Count Basie band.

Where Or When is a cool little number.
