Among other areas of interest, the article refers to Beck's (not Jeff) sampling of a Johnny Jenkins cover of a Dr. John song (Gilded Splinters) that was produced by Johnny Sandlin. He dosen't mention that Johnny sued Beck over the theft. 😉

Nice read, hadn't heard of Bluesouth guitars. I'm guessing this is the guitar he built for Jenkins.

Also, Jenkins' Blessed Blues is a really nice album. Jack Pearson is all over it, Randall Bramlett too.
