Warren Haynes consistently says the revamped Allman Brothers Band which they reluctantly took on their tour in 1989 surprised everyone with how hot they were and Gregg and Dickey were playing before very big crowds for the first in years.
It was to be one tour but everyone wanted to do it again in 1990 and Epic wanted an album.
