dmccabe,
Your photography skills are excellent, I can't wait to see what you can do.
The final 6 shows were fan recorded using a 3 camera setup - left, center, right - mounted on the balcony ledge. Still being worked on as it takes a lot of work and time to complete. I'm sure when ready they will be enjoyed by anyone who wants them. Patience.

yeah....
i saw those little cameras but just figured they were for internal use (since they were basically consumer cameras and not necessarily pro cameras) and not for public release.....
Thanks for the info, abbmountainjam. I eagerly (but patiently) hope to see them.
I was at the last show and there were NO cameras.
I was at the last show and there were NO cameras.
did ya look on the balcony rail?
thats where they were at on friday and saturday...
they were unmanned, small consumer type cameras...
so they could easily be missed.........
So it either wasn't filmed or it was filmed on no budget with only 3 stationary cameras and maybe one guy with another camera.
Either way, doesn't sound like a lot of/if any planning went into making this show available to the fans.
what i saw (and what i believe derek mccabe is referring to) on friday and saturday night were two small consumer handheld type cameras that were on mini (as in 3 inches tall) tripods on the rail of the balcony right in front of the front row..........they were on both the right and left sides---not sure if there was a middle camera......
one would necessarily notice them unless they were in the balcony and/or looking for them....
and there was nobody operating these cameras (unlike the professional ones that we saw in 09 for moogis)......

the unattended camera footage does not match the "attended" camera footage.
and there was nobody operating these cameras (unlike the professional ones that we saw in 09 for moogis)......
So it either wasn't filmed or it was filmed
no it wasn't filmed.. 4K is digital.
Ok, enough with the intentionally vague wordings of possible releases and the technical specs.
Was it filmed? Videoed? Digitized? Recorded? However it needs to be worded?
If so how many cameras (or maybe devices is more appropriate) did whatever you want to call making a video copy of the performance?

Good questions.

This is a res'd down 720p sample of camera 1 (full stage) shot.
Camera 1 was shot in 1080p
This is a color test only. No zoomed in camera angles or backdrop screens are mixed in.
All the close-ups (singing and guitar solos) were done in 4K.

Very cool!
that has the makings for a great ABB live experience to revist through the many years to come. Keep us posted on progress and plans as you can! Good stuff.
Bumping thread back to top of page! Hoping Derek will stop by and give us an update progress???????????
That footage looks awesome.
I'm guessing nothing ever actually comes out of this, but it would be nice.
If there's a buck to be made, it'll happen!
So, I'm sure we'll get an update on this any day now.
Has there ever been a vine of the fan made video of the last show? If not I have a copy I can try to vine if there is any interest. Never done one before though.
Looks like a 3 camera shoot to me. Quality varies but it is very watchable IMHO
Well it happened a year ago today, can I stop holding my breath for this release now?
Derek has been teasing people on facebook with this.
There are some other short close up clips as well on his page.

I just don't get why people have to pull this tease, unless he was contacted by the band and told no way.
So, I watched the clip in the facebook link, and was a little distracted by the fans sitting on the stage beyond Oteil. Then I realized that the guy in the tie-dye looks like Ron Jeremy. That would really kind of ruin a release of this if you had to keep seeing Ron Jeremy throughout the show.
Just a thought... Anyone else notice that?
So about this release?
Been almost two years now...
Been over 3 years since my last post and almost 5 years total, so how is this release coming along. Out soon, right?

Any news on the final product? Do you needs some crowdsource help?
Maybe it will come out coincidental with the 50th Anniversary event LiveNation is teasing...Current ABB management is SURELY working overtime on such timely projects!?!?!?!?!
