Good Afternoon. How hard is it to get Cubs tickets the day of a game?

You can get them. The cheapest ones for the next week which includes St Louis (their biggest rival) are only $13 if you want to sit in the upper deck.

And the upper deck isn't that high up because the place is so small.

Good to know. Looks like I might be in Chicago in June and would like to cross that place of the list. Wish I could make it down when the Tigers play.

Tigers will be here July 3rd & 4th. I was wrong about the price though. They are premium games. A lot more expensive. I think the cheapest for a pair on the third is about $120. The fourth is about $140. 😮

I have tickets for the third.

Well, the weather forecasters have almost completely whiffed again.

Yards have a little snow on them, certainly not what should have been here by now. We did get the drizzle first, which froze and there is a layer of ice on the driveways, streets etc. Certainly not good to try driving around on. Snow is supposed to stop by early afternoon but there's only very light flurries as is.

The winds are as advertised, pretty ferocious and gusting above 50 mph. Instead of the 5-9", we basically have a trace of snow.

Cubs come back from down 10-2 in rain and wind chill in the low 20's.

It was warm on my couch though. Grin

That Benoit show may well have been the loudest indoor show I've ever been to.

The bass was turned WAY up, many notes were distorted because it was buzzing. I was about 100' from the stage and had a wall to my back. It was actually vibrating during most of the show. 😮

Slim wasn't feeling well enough to go, so I recorded some video and sent it to him. He said he had to lower the volume on his phone to listen because of the loudness. 😮

I like Benoit, but, I don't think I'd go to another one of his shows, particularly at that venue (since I know how loud it'll be). Been to many other shows there and they were nowhere near that volume.

Damn glad that I always have hearing protection with me. If I'd forgotten it, very seriously, I would have left.

The Mule 7/13/97 at a bar here in Knoxville. Loudest I have ever been to. I was standing in front of Woody's rig and I swear, the hair on my arms and legs were moving from the sound. I had to move to the back of the club after a while because it was just painful. It was cool being within feet of Warren and Woody, making eye contact and exchanging smiles and such. They just kind of mingled in the crowd during breaks, too.

Loudest show I have ever heard was also a Mule show. '98 or '99. Still with Woody of course. Downtown Detroit at St. Andrews Hall. It was so bad I asked the door guys if I could go outside and come back in and they let me. I walked a block down the street and I could still hear it.

This is a small place, maybe 800 - 1,000 capacity. I don't know how these guys aren't deaf.
