I miss Woods dog. Warmed up to me within a day. Can't believe it's been 3 years this week that I was there visiting him.

I miss Woods dog. Warmed up to me within a day. Can't believe it's been 3 years this week that I was there visiting him.

Sadly, I had to let him go. I took him back to the guy I got him from. He just had not been properly socialized. Wouldn't walk on a leash, wouldn't get in the truck, didn't like being inside and for the most part, was real shy around people. Those were all things that were important to me. Cuj was about the only person he really took a liking to. Well, besides me. He absolutely adored me, and when I took him back the guy was like "the dog loves you, why are you giving him back?" I treated him really good and worked with him until I got really frustrated. It was a hard thing to do. The happy ending is that he was adopted by an older couple that had a small farm and he was just able to run free and be a farm dog.

I am getting ready to sell that house. The 45 mile commute each way has finally gotten to me, and I am renovating my grandparents old house in Maryville, which will cut my commute by more than half. I'll miss the log house out in the woods, but I finally decided it was time. It is also close to my folks, who are getting old, and I am the only one.

Coincidentally, my ma is in the hospital right now recovering from a knee replacement. And, things aren't going so well.

Part of the motivation for the move is to get a dog. With my spending two hours a day in a car, I would have had to leave the pup alone for 10-12 hrs at a time. That just isn't fair to the pup.

I am going to get a puppy and train it from the start. I have already reserved the second pick from a litter hopefully this fall. Another Aussie, I just really love that breed.

Prayers for your mom, Alan.

Thanks. She came out of surgery pretty well, but then overnight she started hallucinating and became real disoriented. She was saying some of the craziest shit you ever heard, like a person with Alzheimer's. Of course, it really upset my Dad (he's waaaaaay more of the sensitive type than I), because she was saying some pretty mean things to him. She was like that all day yesterday, but I talked to Dad and she seems to be a little more cognizant today. The doctors blamed it on medication, but I wanted to ask them when mushrooms became part of the regimen.

Hope things get straightened out, Alan.

With the elderly (spare the jokes please! ;)) even something like a UTI can really mess 'em up cognitively.

I almost turned not gay the other day. On Pride Day our neighbor joined us on the roof. She was scantily clad. Thank God I was wearing sunglasses as I was facing THB. So last night THB mentions that our neighbor has nice breasts. I can't believe I managed it but I bit my tongue, lied to her and said I didn't notice.
