Had a Left Hand Bittersweet Coffee Milk Stout on tap tonight - very good......
Testing a dual screen setup-will it end up being increased productivity, or an excuse to have a full-time slacking screen?
I'm going to go with the latter.
Actually stayed productive most of the day. When slacking, I was more efficient in slacking. 😉
And good morning!
Yo!

Yesterday I was on the phone walking someone through a Word function. I have one screen, they have two.
Me: "Ok, click on Select Recipients up towards the upper left hand corner of the screen."
Them: "On which screen? I have two."

Okay Chicagolanders....
Fill me in on this stuff. I saw a post, last week maybe, about Goose Island Bourbon County Stout and the long lines to get some on the only day of the year that it's released (Black Friday maybe?).
Lo, and behold, found some in a local liquor store. Individual bottle, 1 pint 0.9 oz size. Nine bucks a bottle. Says it continues to age for up to five more years. Mine is not likely to last five more minutes. 😉 😛
So, is that a pretty good deal? When they sell it in the Chicago area, is there a limit on how much you can buy?
Wott's the skinny?

In Chicago, people lined up at the liquor stores in long lines - and yes, there were tight limits. They made the regular, a coffee, a brandywine, and a special one they only sold in Chicago. There was also a Rare version that was stored for 2 years in 23-year old Heaven Hill barrels - those were $60 - I think my brother got one. So it sold out everywhere around Chicago. My Binney's had 300 people in line on Black Friday - and a small craft beer place I go had 75. Each person got like 2 bottles of the regular and one specialty.
I posted earlier that I went to Central Illinois last weekend, and was able to buy 8 of them (limit of 4 but my wife was with me) for $9.99. Also got one for my birthday, which has been consumed. They are better if you store them - they recommend drinking one now, then another one in 3 months, 6 months, etc. I still have 2 12-oz bottles left from last year. This year they went to only bottling in 16.9 oz bottles.
They also widened the distribution - last year it was only 3 states, this year it was many more. So you can find it in small liquor stores where people don't know about the hype, and probably wouldn't pay $10 a bottle - the flavored ones were $13.99 and maybe even one of them was $22.99.
I also have found Revolution Brewery - also from Chicago - that puts out a Wood Series that had a bourbon barrel imperial stout - it is called Deth's Tar, and it is very close to BCS - but it is $15.99 for a 22 oz bomber. Found out today they have another one called Bean Porter - stored in bourbon barrels then infused with coffee - it was $16.99 a bottle, and it will be consumed later tonight......

Thanks Snagger!
I knew if it involved Chicago and beer, you'd know.

If you let them age, does it matter one way or the other if they're refrigerated during the aging?

Mommy!!!!
Just trying it now. 13.75% alcohol. I've never had a beer that was quite that strong.
Really unique flavor.
