Went to Central Illinois today - found a liquor store with Bourbon County Stout and bought a few - also got one as a late birthday present...... along with a bottle of Woodford Reserve.............
Good Morning!

I have a couple of shows this week: Rosanne Cash on Wednesday and TTB on Friday--with a little red-headed girl who used to visit here and Johnny.

So that's who she ditched Charlie Brown for.
I'll try to get this story straight when I see her. 😛 😉
Oh, and...good morning!

Good Morning.....................
Hey Chicagoland people. Are there any good cheap weekend shows in January or February. While enjoying my Lagunitas Brown Shugga I had the idea to do a preshow bottle share. Wouldn't mind meeting more MT Peeps and enjoying some brews.
Depends on your definition of cheap. It is Chicago after all. Things are expensive. Here are a few options. The January 9th HOB show will be awesome. Chicago Blues All Stars are amazing. I saw them at a street fair two years ago and was blown away. Killer Ray Allison is the front man.

There are always plenty of good cheap shows! Use the Chicago Reader website or Do312 (or the companion DoStuff app for ideas.
The blues clubs Lee listed are a good bet. Also, as you probably know, Lagunitas does free shows are 4:20 several times a week.
I'd also check out who is playing at some of the smaller clubs. They are often affordable (even if the beer is expensive):
Schubas/Lincoln Hall
Martyrs
The Hideout
Reggies
Empty Bottle
Abbey Pub
Also Fitzerald's in Berwyn is awesome.
The Chop Shop/First Ward is kinda new, and is sometimes booking up and coming jam bands.
I'll try to keep my eyes peeled if you have any particular weekends in mind.
Speaking of cheap shows, Cory Branan at Schubas was great, but our group probably would have been happier with a livelier show.
Talked to Cory after the show. Nice guy. He seemed to seriously consider going to B.L.U.E.S. on Halsted to catch some blues.
We caught the tail end of Lurrie Bell. Buddy Guy's band leader Marty Sammons sat in for a bit, which was fun.

Don't have a particular weekend in mind yet.
Not really a cheap show but I'd like to see Buddy Guy at Legends. January 9th would be my choice out of the dates available.
Icky news story, Woods. I can't think near enough about baseball right now.
Otherwise, not too bad for a Monday!

It's worth going to see him - I took all my kids when they turned 21.... I've gone about 6-7 years in a row, but probably won't go this year - none of the opening acts excite me, plus I am getting too old to stand for 3-4 hours........
Good morning, skalliwags and ne'er-do-wells!
Testing a dual screen setup-will it end up being increased productivity, or an excuse to have a full-time slacking screen?

I'm still on the bubble this year, but may go with my friend George again. Freely, only briefly met him at Riot Fest.
My oldest will be 21 next year, so I'm planning on that for
