The Allman Brothers Band

Newsletter – Surprise-O-Gram February 7, 2007

Hey there sweet family,

How’d you like a little surprise? Thought so 🙂 Here it is:

A large block of tickets was purchased by a private organization for a special Allman Brothers Band concert previewing the Beacon run, March 20 (Tuesday), at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Although the event is largely via invitation only, the ABB was able to insist that a limited number of tickets be made available to the Peach Corps, through an internet sale made available *only* to them. Which means these tickets aren’t going to be available to the general public. The Allman Brothers Band wants y-o-u and your energy there.

Details of this special ticket sale are:

It begins Thursday, February 8 at 8:00 PM Eastern time, via ticketmaster.com.

There is a 4 ticket limit.

The password is: Oakley

The email address used to purchase tickets MUST match your Peach Corps account. As always, the Allman Brothers Band reserves the right to cancel any order, at any time, for any reason.

If you can’t make it to NYC for the ABB’s surprise concert March 20 on short notice, you’ve got plenty of time to plan for another event that was just announced – the Allman Brothers Band is appearing at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest May 5th. For more information visit allmanbrothersband.com or http://www.nojazzfest.com/ Let the good times peach!

The Allman Brothers Band and a whole lot of other fine folks are also appearing at The Wanee Music Festival in Live Oak, FL April 13 and 14. For more information go to: http://www.waneefestival.com/

We’re thrilled to let you know that Derek Trucks is on the cover of Rolling Stone, specifically the issue on sale February 9. Derek shares the cover with John Mayer, and John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, for the featured article “The New Guitar Gods”. That’s our guy! ((Beaming with pride!))

We’re trying to compile definitive lists of all the times an ABB song has been played in a movie, tv show, or in a commercial. Think you can get us off to a great start? If so, be the first to start a thread in the Anything Goes section of the Forum on allmanbrothersband.com called ABB Songs in the Movies, or ABB Songs on TV, or ABB Songs in Commercials. It’ll be fun to see how many you, and those who jump in, can come up with … and we might even jump in with a nice surprise for your effort! 🙂 Please also join us in zenning positive, healing vibes to all those knowingly and unknowingly in need. Take care and know that you are loved, Lana and Rowland
