The Allman Brothers Band

Newsletter – Peach-O-Gram October 3, 2006

Hey there sweet family,

Gregg Allman will be the featured guest on the nationally syndicated radio show “Rockline” with host Bob Coburn this Wednesday night October 4th, 2006 at 8:30 PDT. Please notice we referenced Pacific time. For a station near you, and information regarding how to log onto the Internet for the broadcast, go to RocklineRadio.com.

Gregg will be taking calls from fans about the upcoming “Gregg Allman & Friends” tour, which kicks off October 13 in Binghamton, NY.

For complete GA&F tour information check: GreggAllman.com

Speaking of Gregg’s tour and web site, check out the link to Merrill Auditorium in Portland, ME (where the band is playing Sunday, October 15) on the tour schedule, on the home page. The Merrill is stunningly beautiful, with great acoustics – setting the stage for what’s certain to be a zensational evening of music.

Another can’t miss on the tour is the Sarasota BluesFest in Sarasota, FL October 28. Rowland and I will be there and hope to hook up with as many of y’all as possible. We’ll be easy to spot – a happy couple, smiling, dancing, enjoying the music and fun 😉 Having endured a larger music festival a couple years in a row because close friends live near it and go, I can’t tell you how much we look forward to the Sarasota BluesFest: One day, one stage, one purpose: big fun! (my description, not the promoter’s … although I don’t think she’ll mind 🙂 )

Devon Allman & Honeytribe are among the other artists appearing. The link to the Sarasota BluesFest is:

And while we’re on a travel tear, the buzz about the Derek Trucks Band and Susan Tedeschi appearing at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta New Years Eve is electric. Peach Corps members from all over the country are gathering to ring in the New Year with Derek, Susan and each other. Tix are available at:

A great place to stay is The Georgian Terrace, which is right across the street from the Fox. What’s nice is that if you fly in, you can take MARTA (ATL rapid transit) from the airport to within an easy walk of the Fox and Georgian Terrace and not have to drive.

Good news! You heard about it, wished you were there/that the show would go on forever, and now you can capture the magic that was Gregg and Warren Haynes’ accoustic set September 2 at Red Rocks. It’s currently the featured show on: http://www.muletracks.com/

and the direct link to purchase the show is:

The set list, with both Gregg and Warren an acoustic guitar and vocals, was:

1. Midnight Rider
2. Come And Go Blues
3. Old Before My Time
4. Come On Into My Kitchen
5. These Days
6. Soulshine
7. Melissa

Take care and know that you are loved,

Lana and Rowland
