Extended family members in New England please note on Sunday, September 24 the 2nd Annual NE Motorcycle Ride for Recovery (from Somerville, MA to Manchester, NH) to benefit Middlesex Human Service Agency, and MOAR (Mass. Organization for Addiction Recovery) will be held. Riders from all over New England will band together to raise money and awareness for recovery from addiction. This year, the ride will be in memory of Billy Donahue, a big Allman Brothers Band fan from Newton, MA, who passed away in April from emphysema. Billy was buried in an ABB t-shirt.
Motorcyclists will meet to register at Somerville City Hall, then follow a designated route, ending at Manchester Harley Davidson, in Manchester, NH for a great BBQ, live music and raffle prizes, including tickets to see Aerosmith in Boston. Entertainment by Danny Klein (of J Geils Band) and Friends Band, and comedians Jimmy Tingle and Jack Lynch. This is an alcohol free event,
great for the whole family, and kids are free!
Riders meet at 8:00 a.m. at Somerville City Hall (93 Highland Ave, Somerville MA) to register. Donation is $30 registration fee for rider; $10 fee for passengers and non-rider walk-ins in Manchester. All motorcycles as well as walk-in guests welcome! All proceeds go to MOAR (Mass. Organization for Addiction Recovery); and MHSA (Middlesex Human Service Agency).
