Here’s some important information about the Newport Folk Festival for those of you going to see the Allman Brothers Band this Saturday, August 4:
ABB start time: 5pm
Parking Lot Opens: 9am
Additional information:
Walk-up tickets are $59 day-of-show, if available.
Gates open at 10:00am
Festival starts at 11:30am
ABB scheduled for 5:00-7:30pm
Festival is rain or shine.
RI State Park rules: No glass, no alcohol, no tailgating, no BBQ, no pets.
Small hand-held coolers are permitted but will be checked at the gate. Taping of ABB set only is permitted; not other artists.
Beer & Wine Garden on-site is open from 1-6pm only. Limited capacity.
Numerous food and crafts vendors on site.

It’s very important not to tailgate/drink in the lots at Newport as they will arrest people.
