Attention, sisters and brothers, we’ve got a mission for you: Volunteer and Register to Vote with HeadCount!!!

The Allman Brothers Band will be working with the non-partisan organization HeadCount over the next year to register voters and encourage political participation among people of all ages. To volunteer for HeadCount and help staff voter registration booths at concerts, or to register to vote, visit www.headcount.org.

HeadCount has set a goal of registering 200,000 voters in 2008, ensuring that music fans are well represented at the polls. We are proud to be among many artists supporting this important cause – and would love for the Peach Corps to represent!

The fine folks at Hittin’ the Note are very happy to announce that ALL of the 2007 Allman Brothers Band live CDs are now in stock and ready to ship! They’re also ready to announce the next West’s Best packages. Many thanks to the Tour Mystic for his wisdom and discerning taste. This package contains six of the finest shows of the summer for the price of five!

The West’s Best will be 8/5 Saratoga, 8/8 Boston, 8/12 Virginia Beach, 8/15 Burgettstown, 8/19 Darien Lake, and 8/22 Holmdel. Each show features special songs, solos or guest artists along with extraordinary overall performances – Hittin’ the Note indeed! Check out each individual show for the setlist.

For those of you who want something between the West Best and the 2007 Complete Summer Set, Hittin’ the Note also has the super deluxe extravaganza known as the West’s Best El Grande. There were so many fantastic shows this year we had a very difficult time narrowing it down and so, for the very first time ever, you get 12 fine shows for the price of 10! 31 CDs with 62 different songs – ay carumba, that’s a lot of music! It’s their way of giving back to you. Besides the shows listed above, these choice selections will also be yours with this package: 8/7 Boston, 8/11 Raleigh, 8/17 Camden, 8/24 Clarkston, 8/26 Milwaukee and the historic 9/8 show at Piedmont Park in Atlanta.

For the ultimate ABB collector Hittin’ the Note is also offering the 2007 Complete Summer Set which will be ready in early December. This year’s packaging will include a beautiful, lacquered cedar box, exclusive photos from the tour, a year’s subscription to Hittin’ the Note magazine and several more surprises – including the ABB Farm Aid performance!
