I have a recording of this show – obviously audience, so it’s tradeable. There is one more song : “Don’t keep me wondering”. Makes the corrected correct setlist look like this:

Statesboro Blues
Ain’t Wasting Time No More
You Don’t Love Me
Woman Across the River
Revival
Desdemona
Don’t Keep Me Wondering
Good Morning Little Schoolgirl w/Larry McCray on Guitar
Dreams
Black Hearted Woman
Drums
Black Hearted Woman conclusion
Same Thing w/Danny Lewis on Keyboards
Midnight Rider
Jessica (‘Turn On Your Lovelight’ Teaser, 13 minutes into Jessica)
Encore: One Way Out

What a difference a year makes as they say, Last years Rockford show was clearly in the bottom 10% of the 30 or more ABB shows I have seen, but this years summerfest show was ” off the chain”. The band seemed refreshed after a three week break and soared with renewed energy that was lacking from last years Rockford show. The enthusiasm of the band brought the enthusaism of the audiance to stratospheric levels. Larry McCray sitting in with the ABB Jamming with Warren and Derick trading blues licks, as well as Dave Mason sitting in with Govt. Mule Jamming with Warren on an extended version of “feelin Alright” were just some of the many highlights of the evening. And on a personal note; The Allman Brothers band was, is, and will always be the greatest band ever, period, not even up for debate or question. I would much rather see the Bros. on an off night, than see another band at it’s best. But when the ABB is firing on all cylinders, as they were at summerfest, the experiance is without question second to none, and when they are off , like Rockford last year, which is rare, the shows a little disappointing.

I agree, great show especially DTB. The Dave Mason jam was also a highlight. Gregg had some trouble, though on “Statesboro”, “You Don’t Love Me,” & “Black Hearted Woman”. Who was the guitarist who jammed w/ ABB?

Great day of music -all around. I especially enjoyed the opening sets – but I am not sure I saw any tapers there for Derek’s set.
Mule was great with Dave Mason.

Also snuck out and caught a couple of songs by John Hiatt and the North Miss. Allstars who were just down the Summerfest grounds from the main stage area. Very cool .

Can’t wait to hear the tapes ..

What can I say?…INCREDIBLE!!!! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! Oh man, I’ve seen ABB many times, every show is different. This one they all took turns, little bluesy, Greg ran with it, Derek jammed, but WARREN TOTALLY jammed out like never before. Crowd was awesome. Loud. Younger crowd very interested Very DEADish tonight.

I personally met Derek for the first time tonight. He was driving by on a golf cart enjoying the festival the best he could. Derek, ARIZONA BOB says hey bro, nice job!!! See you at the Beacon in 2006! (maybe Toronto also).

Finished with One Way Out as final encore. 2.5 hour show, PLUS Otiel, Derek and Warren as “warm-up” bands.

I’ll be there! I live in Tucson AZ yet make it to the Beacon NY every year for past 3 years and anywhere else I can. Fortunately I’ll be in the area July 5th and will make the Summerfest show in Milw. If you’ve never been to Summerfest, it’s a MUST. Besides, it is looking to be a long day of ABB type music with all the warmup bands. Last show I went to was last day at the Beacon, 4 hours! Jam jam jam! Great beer and food there too 🙂

Summerfest is one of the largest music fest’s in the country. I have been to Summerfest 3 times, I have seen Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 3 times, Buddy Guy, and at least 10 other fantastic bands that are out of this world. All I can tell anybody is that if anyone has the opportunity to go DON’T MISS IT!!!
