did see db&gs at ribfest in cincy and i thought they sounded pretty good

In 1999 the Brothers did their 30th anniversary tour and I saw them in Dallas. I thought they were as good as ever. I moved to cincy in 2000 and saw them last year without Dickey Betts. It was alright, but somehting was missing. I recently saw Dickey Betts play in Downtown Cincy and I realized that He was the heart and soul of the group. I saw the show july 3 at riverbend and it was ok, but not the same. Warren Haynes is good but He’s no Dickey Betts. I hope that before the Brothers stop touring I can see them one more time with DB.

These ticket prices are getting to be outrageous. This will be my third year in a row going to Riverbend and the prices have steadily increased each year. I assume it’s the venue’s, and hopefully not the band’s, doing.
