the correct name of the town is Greenvale not Greenville. I live on Long Island and go to the CW Post (Long Island University) gym every day. I also am a graduate of the School.

I also have a memory of the show though it kinda faded over time. Wet Willie was the opening act. I remember Dicky had short hair and I think he may have shaved off his moustache as well. I was only 14 at the time. In the men’s room before the show there was a roumor that Eric Clapton may be filling in for Duane. I do not remember much of the set either though Dicky I believe played slide on the Gibson SG. I thought the show was great though It was my first. I’ll give it some serious thought in hopes of remembering more. Any other memories of that night? I do remember it was pretty cold out waiting for the doors to open. CW post college is located in Greenvale NY

After only two months earlier attending their fiery performance at Stony Brook, I was now to witness the band’s first outing without their former leader. While sadness and shock still lingered after Duane’s passing, I remember that the band just carried on so well that night. Duane’s playing could not be replaced but everybody just hung in there and made us all feel better. Under the most difficult of circumstances the show did go on as the band began establishing its new identity.

I don’t recall much from the set list but I do remember Greg coming out on guitar for Statesboro. There was also a very haunting Whipping Post. Dickie took on all the extra guitar work and just churned it out.
