The Allman Brothers Band

Duane And Gregg

This is an addition to your discography. The album is entitled Duane and Gregg. It is an early Polydor release. The album cover features the same likenesses as on Idlewild South (white outline drawings of Duane and Greggs faces on a black background) The sound quality of this record is actually quite poor but it features some outstanding soulful studio performances. It has a different rendition of Mellissa from the later Allman Bros. release. A beatiful God Rest His Soul. A very bluesy Nobody Loves You When You’re Down and Out and an awesome Morning Dew. These songs and the rest of the album were raw and deep and meaningful. I’ve never seen it re-released on CD. If anyone has please let me know!
