Happy New Year loungers!
Hi Ron, hope you are well and get something soon!
I'm looking at a small stone mushroom, reminds me of you every time.
I'm unemployed now too. Last day of work was 12/30/16.
I'm hoping my next job will be my last job before retirement...
Wishing all da loungers all the best in 2017!
Nice to "see" a few familiar faces around ... wishing all you Guys (and Gals) a great 2017 also ...
Been suffering with "Man Flu" this week ... just hope I never get "Woman Flu" ... don't think I would cope ... 😉
Last Friday I went to a small (300 seat) local theatre for an acoustic blues evening by Paul Jones and Dave Kelly. These are the two guys who formed the "Blues Band" back in 1979 having previously been with Manfred Mann and John Lee Hooker Band respectively.
I have to say it was a very enjoyable evening with Kelly on Acoustic Guitar and Jones on Harmonica playing a two hour show of traditional blues songs that Duane and Gregg would have enjoyed back in the day.
I wore a Duane Allman "T" shirt to the show and during the interval at the merchandise stand Dave Kelly spotted me, pointed at the shirt and said softly "Duane - I loved that guy".
In the second half of the show, Kelly mentioned that he had met a "gentleman" during the interval with a Duane Allman shirt on and talked for a couple of minutes about what Duane and the Allman Brothers had done, they then went on to play "Statesboro Blues" ... made my evening ...
Wow, what a great story!!! Good for you, Colin, keep promoting Duane. We can never let him be forgotten. Same way I feel about Michael Bloomfield. Those 2 fore shore!!!
Hi Bobby! Good to 'see' ya! Good luck to you.
gday loungers
fridee night and the weather is hot and the beers not.. stay safe loungers and have a grewat weekend listening to awesome tunes and great music.

FRIDAY
Great story, Colin.
I may have an interesting opportunity on the horizon.
Guy who has a pretty good landscape/property services company just leased a former greenhouse and sales location on a busy state route about 15 miles from me.
We had talked about that location a couple months ago.
He called me today to see if I was interested in having some involvement with opening the site for retail sales and also a hub for his nursery and mulch business.
I can see some potential here and it would be in keeping with what I've been doing for the last 25 years.
Best part of this is I can see Jeanne working with me full time which would be fantastic.
His lease starts 2/1 and we'll be having talks before then to decide what he wants to do and what I can offer.
Again, I am optimistic.
Sounds like a great prospect for you Ron and I wish you all the best ...
