Yesterday was the 9th anniversary of Bobo's passing.
Wow ... that is unbelievable ... do you still have any contact with his wife and daughter ?
No.
I had sent them cards for several years for my birthday.
Told them to use the enclosed cash for a dinner out, on me.
Never heard a word from them.
Coot* did tell me they appreciated it.
Haven't done it in a long time.
Good old Sunday morning
Bells are ringing everywhere
I'm going to Carolina
Won't be long and I'll be there

That was very kind of you, Ron ... and somewhat remiss of them not to respond to you ... but I hope they are doing ok ...
I'm kind of used to it.
The GABBA folks said they'd be happy to send me some "swag" (a shirt was all I wanted) from this year since I had been so generous the last two years donating music for their auctions.
Zilch.
Oh well, they raised $1500 from those donations and I will donate again next year.
Kind of doubt I'll go though.
Really had looked forward to the Macon pilgimmage but......

Colin, do y'all have senior citizens discounts at any places over there? They do come in handy.

Yes Rick, we do ... in fact many are available when you are 60 ... including free bus travel and - perhaps more importantly as one gets older - free medicines (health care is free for everyone of all ages but you have to pay for your medicines until you are 60)

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a very happy new year to all loungers.
I hope 2017 brings you love, laughter and peace
Ron, have also always wanted to take trek to Macon. But I've never made it so far.

For all the blues lovers out there I was kindly given Taj Mahal's Labor of Love as a Christmas gift. Tremendous album. Really love it. No frills. No pretense, just da blues.
As the Lounge limps onward to New Year's Eve......
