Hi Colin and Peg!
Hi Kitty! (I see you logged on the site).
Such a sad story about Butch as it turns out.
But what a find! A new original line-up ABB show from 7-9-1970 Stony Brook! Over 70 minutes of sweet music!
Thanks to Roger (ABBDutchFan) I downloaded the show also and it is a fine performance!
Anthonyspare just posted that he's getting CDs of the WAV files through the mail; he should have the discs next week.
I burned a disc. Time to go crank up the stereo.
Happy Friday to the lounge.
And a PT too!
Back again.
I sure miss all of you. What a great bunch!!
Just wondering - Is the date right on that Stony brook show? I was thinking they played there on 7-26-70. I could easily be wrong, but I'm definitely interested that show, Colin or Coot seem to be the kings of Duane show knowledge, so I'd love to know your thoughts.
A special hello to my sister, Peg!
You have always been the coolest hippie chick on the sight.
The date is correct, there was a small crowd warm up show on 7/9 just ABB.
I DLed the files from the first source, can't find them to burn.
I'll try the one Colin linked tomorrow.
Hey now Ron! Hope things are going well in Skaneateles. No snow down here in CT; I'm heading out for a hike.
I listened to the 7-9-70 show last night; it sounds great on the stereo for a 1970 show, even in MP3. Gregg's vocals are sometimes a little over saturated, but the music and the mix sound fine. I thought of Capt. Skipper as I was listening, God rest his soul.
If anyone needs a copy shoot me a PM. I'll be glad to hook you up.
Happy weekend loungers!
In my state of mourning, I totally missed the thread about the new show that's been found!!! Yipee and couldn't come at a better time!! However, I'm computerless. If anyone here gets a copy would you be so kind as to send me one? I would be most grateful!!! I can send blanks and postage.
I have listened to it and it is very good. Unfortunately it is only in MP3 format at the moment, which is how "Anthonyspare" received it. Don't know if the chap who sent it to him has the original WAV files, hopefully if he has maybe they will be made available. In the meantime ...
This is my friend Roger's link to the MP3
Thank you, Colin! Really nice show!! I have so much more to say but it's too cumbersome typing on my phone.
Greetings my Lounge brothers an sisters

Hey now Wharfy! Hope you're doing well.
This show is a new show, never heard before this.
Grab the MP3 from the link and check it out, it's a great show.

Hello to da lounge!
Hope all the loungers are doing well.
The groundhog here in CT didn't see his shadow! Early spring is fine with me.
This ABB 7-9-70 show is soooooo good, can't get it out of my CD player.
I'm getting CDs of the WAV version; I'll be glad to share with the lounge.
That John McLaughlin and Jimmy Herring tour this fall just announced today looks great!

Hi Chuck and Bobby!
I can definitely hear jazz tones several times throughout this show. No doubt he'd be playing some mean jazz if he were still with us today. Really enjoying the show!!!
Hi Peg and Chuck!
I agree, this show definately sounds jazzy at times. Can't wait to get the WAV disc.
Peg, you wouldn't like it up here in CT this weekend, high temps around 30° with flurries on Sunday.
I traded the ABB 7-9-70 show for a SBD of Butch and the Freight Train Band from last summer in Massachusetts. Can't wait to check that out.
Have a good Super Bowl weekend everyone.
Hot 'Lanta in the Super Bowl, but the Patriots will cool them off.

Great to see so many friends posting again ... just like old times ...
The advent of this 7/9/70 warm-up show has also made me listen to the actual show from 7/10/70 again ... hadn't listened to it for years ... and I am really liking the feel of both of these shows ... yes, jazzy in places ... but also very slow laid back bluesy feel to some of the tracks too ... very
Have a great weekend y'all ...
Howdy Bob and Peg
Wondering how many other "lost" shows are out there
