Funny how those that claim tolerance are often times the least tolerant of them all?

Have a nice day Grin

You're spot on. "Tolerance" is a word used by people who think they can do and say whatever they want without any consequences or repercussions because they're such strong advocates for tolerance but when someone does or says something they object to, they're the first ones to speak up and condemn it. It's a joke but that's the way the world spins these days.

Why isn't ok it for two people to disagree? Why does there have to be consequences or repercussions for having a thought. Right or wrong, why isn't it just ok to have differing opinions and that be ok?

People take such a hard line when really they just should be taking a breath and realizing that not everyone is going to think or say or have the same thoughts. Where I think diversity of thought should be applauded, it is usually hushed in todays society. Where people should have open discussions, most want to shut the conversation down.

They usually have to use disparaging words to paint their "enemy" into a box. Label them and brush them as being all the same. It is a tactic that works quite well. It is usually used when playing the race card or trying to paint a political opponent as "extreme".

I have always tried not to judge others, but that does not mean I have to agree with them or their actions. But we can agree to disagree and still love one another. There doesn't have to be a hard line in the sand.

When the music stops, I wish you all the best. My thoughts and prayers will be with every one of you.

Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views,
but then are shocked and offended to discover
....that there are other views.

I'm not talking about something as simple as two people disagreeing.

I'm talking about major issues involving groups of people.

very much along the lines of what BIGV quoted.
