If you are letting the government educate your kids, they are going to end up average.
There is nothing redeeming about our education system.
If the object of the government is to have an uneducated populace, they are well on their way.
Just go to any amusement park, shopping mall, or state fair and take a good look around at the gene pool. Pretty sad.
Public Education is far from perfect but is what you make of it.

Our education system used to adequate, now it is broke. We teach down now and don't push these kids. My son is bright, but he barely ever has any homework and is getting straight A's. In fact, most of his friends get straight A's. They have lowered the bar and we are short changing our kids with the education system we have today. It is sad to watch the decay of our society. We are pushing down instead of pulling up.
