Republicans have repeatedly proposed legislation that ends the broken government criminal background check system and, recently, in 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010 the democrats refused to even allow it to be discussed let alone vote on.

Have you ever actually read the proposed gun control legislation the liberals hype when they make a statement to the media to try and garner votes.
These are of course politicians who are surrounded by security packin' heat.
Nothing in those proposals will prevent criminals from getting guns but it will curtail honest, law abiding citizens from protecting themselves from the criminals.That wasn't what he asked you. I read recently that Executive Orders were under consideration for implementation regarding gun control. The Commander in Chief can pass the legislation and then Congress can jump up and down to try to get it revoked.
