P.S. Since he hasn't said it, I will on the issue of abortion,
HE FAVORS ADOPTION NOT ABORTION.

Interesting that you feel you can interpret Trump-Speak.
Let's face it. Trump supports abortion. It's the law. And until recently, he said it outright. I think he has trouble remembering that he's supposed to be on the other side now and flubs his lines. This is the one topic where he has difficulty lying.

Trump's best option to run for POTUS was on the GOP side. He had no chance running as a Democrat. He's an opportunist. Trump's really not a conservative...so he gets confused on what he's supposed to say - trying to speak his personal beliefs and at the same time represent the GOP talking points. Between that and his perpetual self marketing, he steps in it on a regular basis.

How does anyone walk into a voting booth and pick him. It defies logic and reason.

Even though I voted for Obama twice (and unlike many who did, I actually admit it) and am registered as unaffiliated, I voted for The Donald in the NC Primary. Why? Because I fear Ted Cruz more than any other politician I can ever remember. He is a religious nut who I truly believe will start a religious war if elected president. And I knew Trump would be unelectable in the general election.

After all, I was just taking a page out of Rush's playbook. Remember Operation Chaos, when he ordered his moronic "dittoheads" to vote for Hilary against Obama in the '08 democratic primary?

Turnabout is fair play. He he..... 😉

Ok, you weren't actually picking him, you were not picking someone else. And you were not alone.

Nope. I was exercising my constitutional right to vote and used the SYSTEM to hopefully help the GOP DESTROY ITSELF.

And proud of it.

Interesting. Like you, I am also an independent voter in NC. In the primary I choose the Democrat ballot and voted for Bernie. I was torn between doing that or voting for Kasich on the Republican ballot. The reason is I simply could not bring myself to vote for Hillary, Trump, or Cruz, even if I held my nose. I don't want or expect Bernie to be the next president, but I think he and Kasich may be the only candidates with with their integrity mostly intact.

I would vote unhesitatingly for Kasich in the general election. He is the only candidate that has any credibility as far as the experience and temperament to deal with the issues, and unlike any of the others he has experience in both government and business in the private sector, although frankly the fact that he was with Lehman before it disintegrated gives me great pause.

But compared to the others, he is head and shoulders above them. He has done what seems to be an excellent job leading Ohio out of the mess it was in, so he has a verifiable tack record of success as an executive at the governor's level. As other pundits have said, he IS the only adult in the room.

Unfortunately due to the insane self-destructive nature of the GOP and their inexplicable addiction to pandering to the Evangelicals, he has absolutely no chance of winning the nomination.

So we all lose. Again.

I thought long and hard about this before I decided to do it. I tried to figure where my vote would have the most impact and I knew that Hillary was going to get the Dem's nomination whether I voted for her or not and I'm not so sure that I'd vote for her anyway in the general election. I knew that Trump is just a buffoon, really, playing at being a politician, but to me Cruz is borderline evil. He is truly dangerous and if he ascends to the most powerful job in the world, we are all in danger, not just the US. I said before that I have no doubt that he would start a religious war. I should have used the plural: warS.

Many on the right are convinced that Obama is the antichrist that Nostradamus warned about. Uh - uh. It's this guy.

No, only the left-wing, corrupt, soulless socialist wannabes should worry.
Of course aren't you and the usual Hollywood mouthpieces moving out of the country if a Republican gets elected?
That is the usual line every four years but it never happens.

I voted Republican in every election until '92. I voted for Reagan twice. But that's when I didn't leave the Republican party, it left me.

I did vote for our NC Republican governor, Pat "Clueless" McCrory, who has proven to be woefully overmatched and completely inept since he entered office.

And did you actually read what I said about NC democrats? Maybe you should read that before branding me as a liberal....

Thought we had a good relationship. No reason to attack me personally just because we have differing points of view about certain things. It's too bad. I've never done anything to you to warrant that kind of personal attack.

I have lots of friends whose politics I disagree with. I don't HATE them for it. Nor they do they hate me for mine. We just agree to disagree, like intelligent humans do.

Man, you are very angry. You have my sympathy....

You have to look at where they stand on the issues because all the rest is just entertainment for us.

Cruz voted for NAFTA, which shipped jobs overseas. Not good. Trump said Cruz is IN FAVOR of the Trans Pacific Partnership. If you don't know what that is, you need to find out about it.

Foreign Policy is the MOST important thing, because it keeps us in wars or out of them. Trump is the only one who wants us to stay home, manage our own borders, and let the other countries defend themselves and run their own nations. The rest of the candidates on both sides think we need to continue providing security to our friends in the Middle East and elsewhere in return for affordable oil. Well how about limiting the profit and price gouging that American companies can do to us here at home, and then we could depend less on foreign oil. If we totally just used our own oil, we would get screwed financially, like we did with Exxon when they raised it to $3.47 a gallon and they told us not to complain, it could go to $5 a gallon and then threw in the Iranian threat that if they closed the straits of Hormuz it would be $10 a gallon almost overnight.

The Saudis want to keep the prices at about $2.00 gallon for us. That is reasonable. US companies will not be reasonable.

There is a lot to consider with US foreign policy effecting more than just soldiers in other countries.

Your little sideshow issues are not what The American People are concerned about.

After more than 7 years of failure by the amateur Obama the people want a professional with a proven track record of success and only Trump has the qualifications to be President.

Ted Cruz was not in Washington during the NAFTA vote, I think he was in college or somewhere else before he landed in DC. Now, maybe he supported NAFTA, that I do not know, but I am pretty sure he did not vote for NAFTA.

Trump doesn't have any qualifications whatsoever, other than making money by buying and selling real estate. He can't even run a small university, a small airline, or figure out that he doesn't own or isn't even affiliated with a winery with the name Trump on it. I have never seen someone so clueless, other than maybe his supporters.

For as much time as you appear to spend reading and thinking about and discussing politics and this is the conclusion you arrive at?

No real thinking person would ever say such a thing.

There are valid reasons to vote for Trump but his presidential qualifications relative to any other candidate are not one of them.

_________________________________________________________________________

"relative to any other candidate"

Really?
No other candidate has ever had a real job, managed a successful company or tells the people the truth.

Trump is the only qualified professional running for President.

Trump tells the truth about 9% of the time.... you must have very low standards....

You should be a comedian - that was one of the funniest posts I have seen here - and that is saying a lot......... 😛 Grin

No other presidential candidate has filed for bankruptcy 4 times, has run multiple companies into the ground, defrauded students, lied about his ownership in companies, was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, lied as much as much as he has, and has threatened to sue newspapers who write disrespectful articles about him (so much for freedom of the press).

Who better than to represent a unified GOP. Seems like the perfect candidate for those shallow enough to hang their vote on "He's the only candidate that speaks his mind and will do what he says". Just like pulling a f'ing rabbit out of a hat...as simple as that.

He can surround himself with people who know what he does not. What did any of us know about the Middle East, Islam and the other half of the world prior to 9.11.01? Sometimes you get on the job training, like we all did here, and look how far we have come.

In the remark he made about Ivanka, he said "if" she wasn't his daughter he might like to date her because she has a nice figure. No he should not even have thought that way, but he said it. I'd also like to point out how many actual Presidents were less than they should have been while in office (having affairs), and the hypocrites on Capital Hill know no limits.

By the way he is doing a show on CNN with his family. So people can get an idea of how they think of him etc. Ought to be interesting.

Ted is now learning about New York values right now. He is dead last in the polls in NY.

Trump had 10,000 supporters come out to see him at a rally this week in Bethpage. He also has an ADDITION to his staff, a Convention Manager, Paul Manafort. The Campaign Manager, Corey Lewandowski is also still on staff. A convention is an event. A campaign is the whole thing, everything leading up to the convention and then from the convention to the actual election. Trump's expanding his personnel show that he is ALL IN and going for it.

I do feel like he is the ideal representation for you and for folks with your conservative values. No doubt. Unfortunately you're all nearing obsolescence. The marginalization of the Right is making them all crazy. The Tea Party, Sarah Palin, and now Trump are the political manifestations of that struggle.

Good luck to you, but not really.

__________________________________________________________________________

Over 200,000 voters have dumped the democratic party since January in PA alone.
More than a million people nationwide have dumped the democratic party.

Obsolescence seems to be the theme of the left-wing extremists.
