Bad coaching cost the Lions the game yesterday. If they don't have a winning record I think they'll be looking for a new coach.

Did anyone see/hear Jay Gruden's post game press conference? He said he didn't know an NFL game could end in a tie. I sure hope he was kidding!

That's scary if he did not...maybe Chuckie needs to give him some pointers. 😛

I think that was part of the reason why he lost his job here in Indy.

I also like the Jets to kill Cleveland. The Browns are just God awful.

I know I like that too, just seems like the biggest sucker line of the year. Head says Jets win, gut says buyer beware.

Moot point. Jets gave up a meaningless TD at the end so they pushed. Mad

Do you have a local or online book?

We use scoresandodds.com for numbers. Jets were never higher than 2.5 there all weekend.

Half points matter as we know. We I go to Vegas I'll walk the strip to save a half point somewhere, never know when it will be the difference between a win-loss-or push.

Not trying to make you feel bad about it, please don't take it the wrong way. Just wondering were your 3 was at.

Most pro athletes retire before they hit 39, this one is just getting better and better....

(this is Brady's 9th Offensive Player of the Month award, which is the most in league history)

I forgot, I'm usually the first to say how bad Jay Cutler sucks, but Monday night, he looked really good huh? So I'm sure he is due for a 2 INT and a fumble next game.

I can't decide who is worse, the Browns or the Bears. I guess I would go with the Browns. They are probably the most mismanaged organization in all of sports. Although the Bears are right there.

Well the Colts are not a far 2nd for being mismanaged. They traded a 1st round pick to Cleveland for Richardson and the Browns used that to draft Manziel. Yikes! Who got the short end on that one?!? 😛

Ryan Grigson has botched Indy's roster so bad over the last 5 yrs its gonna take another 3 to rebuild this mess. He is also in the process of ruining Andrew Luck.

More Than Just for Real, the Raiders Show They're a Real Super Bowl Threat
By Mike Freeman , NFL National Lead Writer Nov 7, 2016

It's no longer correct to say the Oakland Raiders are for real. This is obvious. We know this. The sky is blue and there's some sort of election this week. Duh.

It's time to look at a bigger picture with the Raiders, much bigger, and two parts of that picture in particular. First, the league is better when the Raiders are good. This is a simple fact. It's a characteristic of the Raider genome that a good Oakland team is swashbuckling and sexy, liable to punch you in the mouth or run by you.

The Raiders are fun. The Raiders are important. This makes the NFL eminently more watchable.

Second, and perhaps more important, the Raiders are not just for real, they are a Super Bowl threat. If you can't see that, you're the one with a patch over your eye.

Yes, sure, the Raiders are highly flawed. In their previous game, they committed a record one cabillion penalties. Their defense, at times, has more leaks than the FBI. Their rotund kicker, Sebastian Janikowski, has been missing kicks at an usual clip.

The team may also move to Las Vegas. Sure, no distractions there.

But the Raiders have something in abundance, and you saw it in the team's 30-20 win over Denver on Sunday night: guts. They may have cracks and faults, but they've got guts and guts is enough in the mess that is the AFC.

They play with a combination of joy and recklessness. They're the AFC's version of the Cowboys. They don't know they're not supposed to win. They don't care that everyone predicted they'd stink. They just play hard and crazy and aggressive.

You saw all of the various great and flawed machinations of the Raiders against Denver. That offense burned a good Denver defense. At the half, while the score was 20-10, it could have easily been 40-10. That offense can dominate any defense, but the miscues and penalties make them fallible.

But man are they fun to watch and boy are they a legit threat. A real, hardcore Super Bowl threat.

Can they beat the Patriots at Foxborough in a title game? Probably not. No team can make the large number of mistakes the Raiders do and still beat Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. The Raiders would make it interesting, though. They would give any team fits, including the Patriots.

They ran for over 200 yards against the Broncos, the best defense in football. Anything is possible with this team.

"We're going forward," running back Latavius Murray, who had three rushing touchdowns, told NBC after the contest. "This is a new team. A new mindset."

A winning one. We haven't seen that with the Raiders in quite some time.

Yes, one reason why the Raiders are legitimate is the conference is a mess. The Ravens and Steelers are 4-4. The Texans are 5-3, but they are quarterbacked by Mock Osweiler. They're no threat.

The best teams in the AFC not named the Patriots are in the Raiders' division. Kansas City beat Oakland in October, but the Raiders are the better team now, just three weeks later.

The Broncos defense, as NBC reported, since the beginning of 2015, has been ranked first in opposing passer rating, passing yards allowed, pass yards per play and sacks. Denver's defense has been the gold standard, yet the Raiders ran the football at will against Denver on Sunday night, and quarterback Derek Carr looked like Ken Stabler.

The Broncos are also physically banged up, and they can't put up enough points to stay with Oakland. For now, Trevor Siemian just isn't good enough.

You saw typical Raiders as they built a commanding 10-point halftime lead, and you saw typical Raiders as they allowed the Broncos to hang around in the third quarter. Then, with just over seven minutes left in the fourth, the Raiders looked to have the game well in hand after sacking Siemian and recovering his fumble. On the next play, Carr almost threw an interception—T.J. Ward's pick was overturned after review.

The Raiders recovered from that close call to score and make it 30-13. Less than a minute later, they gave up a touchdown on a 69-yard screen where the Raiders tackled like the Colts. Oakland snatched the life from the Broncos and then tried to give that life right back.

The Raiders are at times as flighty as they are gutsy.

The talent though...the explosiveness...the raw, nuclear energy. It's all there. The Raiders are tied with the Patriots and Cowboys atop the NFL with seven wins. All there, definitely. So is the coaching. It would be a mistake not to make Jack Del Rio one of the leading candidates for Coach of the Year.

So here we are again, all these years after the Raiders lost in the Super Bowl to the coach they traded away, Jon Gruden, and after years of irrelevance and mockery—no winning season since 2002—the Raiders are good again. The Raiders are important again.

And yes, the Raiders are Super Bowl contenders again.

I would be more impressed with the Raiders win yesterday if it had been in Denver, but nevertheless they look like they are for real this year...the running backs are impressive.

Definitely the Browns, the Bears have at least been competitive in a few season during the past decade (NFC Champs in 2006, NFC Championship appearance in 2010).

The Browns have (I think) 1 playoff appearance and 2 seasons with a winning record since their 1999 "rebirth". God knows how many coaches and starting QBs. Any franchise that gave Eric Mangini a 2nd shot is not to be trusted.

That was a mind-bogglingly frustrating game. For 3 quarters, it felt like Green Bay was winning even though we were down by 20 points (winning the battles, not the war). Indy had a couple of nice quick TD drives, but it was their D that kept Green Bay out of the end zone on some solid drives of their own. Green Bay's passing game has been painful to watch, every completed pass feels like an act of God. That loss drops us into 3rd place in the North. Packers can still make some noise, but they need to right their offense quickly.

And now Minnesota and Philly have come crashing down to earth. Lots of 4-5 and 5-4 teams that are looking pretty mediocre, not counting Dallas, Oakland, and New England. The season is getting a little interesting, this is why fans can't give up after 4 games.

According to this, they've started 26 different QBs since 1999. 😮

Yeah it was nice, but they will have to back it up when they come back from the bye week or it will be all for naught.

I thought the Packers offense looked out of sync. I thought after last weeks game they would have dropped 40 plus on the Colts. It seemed like for the 1st quarter and part of the 2nd Luck had the football glued in his hand a little to long. Not sure if he had trouble reading the D or the DB's of GB had tight coverage or what.

At time he reminds of Brett Favre, trying to hard to force/make a big play and it bites him. Brett did that is whole career. Gotta take the good with the bad sometimes with these qb's, but most of the time it out weighs the bad thank God.

Big win for Detroit yesterday.
Philly is 1-3 in they're last 4 games, Minn has dropped three straight I believe.
Ravens, Steelers and Cincy are all right there together.

I think the Seahawks and Bills play tonight.

Yep, and wouldn't mind seeing the Seahawks put another check in the loss column for the AFC East Bills. Seattle is on national TV two weeks in a row, they play the Pats on Sunday night next week.

Where's the outrage?!? Where's the investigation?!?

http://www.12up.com/posts/4080117-more-images-surface-of-clearly-deflated-footballs-from-seattle-last-night

Actually, the bigger outrage, if I'm a Buffalo fan, is the absolutely atrocious officiating...I don't think I've ever seen the compounding of officiating errors like what happened at the end of the half. The Bills got screwed big time.

Looks like Seattle is getting healthy at the right time (just in time for a trip to Foxboro and a SB rematch on Sunday night), those two 1-handed TD grabs by Graham were insane.

PS - John Gruden has jumped the shark, I can't stand listening to him anymore.

I saw what Richard Sherman did, but I dont' know the whole story about that call and what transpired from there. I guess he was not flagged for unnecessary roughness.

Yeah, I thought Packers would have had a little momentum, but the offense looked flat. If I knew what was exactly wrong with the O, they'd probably hire me. Half the time Rodgers is overthrowing, half the time his receivers aren't bringing the ball home. Still only 1 game out of 1st, still time to right the ship.

And having watched a lot of Favre and Rodgers, there is a big difference: Rodgers takes care of the ball. When he gets picked off, it's usually already in a state of frustration, trying to make something happen. Favre could be careless. Part of the excitement with Favre was holding your breath every time the ball left his hands. With Rodgers, you expect him to complete every throw. That pick Rodgers threw was just a great read by the D, safety knew where it was going the whole time and jumped the pass.

Sorry, I meant Luck reminds me Favre at times, not Rodgers. I believe Rodgers is head and shoulders above both, just my opinion.

Ugh, Packers look terrible. Their defense was their lone bright spot while their offense sputtered. And then they give up 47 points to the freakin' Titans. I usually don't throw in the towel, and they are only a game out of first in a baaaad division, but it looks like the wheels have come off. Especially with 3 divisions games plus the Eagles, Seahawks, and Texans on the horizon. Some serious change needs to happen if they want to right this ship.

Yeah, I was shocked about Tenn dropping that many points on them. Ouch!!

Glad to see the Seahawks beat NE on they're home turf.

Calm down. They aren't that bad. They still have the best QB, RB, WR trio in the league.
