You can follow the link to an interactive map, hover over your State to see if you are Middle Class, Upper Class, or just plain classless.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/03/19/middle-class-keeps-shrinking_n_6903728.html

America’s middle class is shrinking in every state in America.

A new analysis by the Pew Charitable Trusts' Stateline blog, shows that the percentage of middle-class households -- defined as those earning between 67 and 200 percent of a state’s median income -- dropped in every U.S. state between 2000 and 2013. Median income also fell in most states during that period.

Wisconsin, Ohio, North Dakota, Nevada, and New Mexico had some of the largest declines in middle-class households over the 13-year span, while Wyoming, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii suffered the least.

The decline of the American middle class is unsurprising by now. The middle class has seen its wages change little since the turn of the millennium, while high-earning individuals keep making more and more each year. And middle-class wages are a long way from catching up to the rising costs of child care, tuition, and hospital visits.

And nearly a decade after the peak of a devastating bubble, housing is once again growing increasingly unaffordable for many. Stateline's analysis showed that a greater percentage of households in many states are paying at least 30 percent of total income on housing, a widely used standard for housing affordability.

😮

Affirmative action gave jobs away to unqualified people. Affirmative action is discriminatory, demanding that companies hire a certain percentage of specific classes/races of people whether they are qualified or not. Companies get incentives, they get tax credits to hire minorities, the middle class jobs were outsourced to lower class minority workers.

Then when businesses found out that the skill level of these workers was not what they needed, AND these workers wanted good pay and benefits, they went to NAFTA to hire lower paid workers in sweat shops overseas to supply goods for the marketplace.

We've all been outsourced by corporate greed, but that greed started because of Affirmative Action which decimated the middle class.

Yeah! That darn Clarence Thomas took away all the white people's jobs!

No surprise at all.

Take 40 years of abysmal trade policy, no industrial policy, add an outdated income-based tax system, a legal environment that permits frivolous lawsuits without recourse, an out-of-control multi-tiered regulatory monster, currency management geared to making the financial sector prosperous and jacking up stock prices, and this is what you get.

The amazing part are those who believe more gov't manipulation and artificial creations will somehow improve this. How many promises have to fall flat before they realize they're being manipulated or their vote by charlatans?

Oh come on now, you know what I am talking about. There are professionals of every color, creed, they earned their place in the business world; then there are the others, who contribute nothing and just need housing, food, medical care, and that short bus for their special needs children born of substance abusing people who have lots of free time, and no jobs without affirmative action guaranteeing them one.

There was a Democratic pundit on TV Friday night; can't remember who. Apparently the Stock Market Rise over the last few years as well as the Decrease in Unemployment was all the result of the Obama policies: but the rise in income inequality was all because of the Republicans!!!!!!

Just like when Yemen was seen as a success Obama took credit but now that its an unmitigated disaster he rejects responsibility. A very seemly trait in a leader.

Don't blame Obama, blame the stupid translators who don't know what anybody is saying in other countries. I read one report where they thought some Arabs were talking about pajamas, they were probably talking about kanawha, which is Pashto for Green tea. If they were talking about pajamas, might be some mujahids in Dr. Denton's heading for the Durand line!
