I watched until half time. Looked like a pretty good game. When I heard Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz were going to be performing, I went into channel surf mode. Found a Tom Petty show (Live from Gatorville), and just never returned. Congrat's to Pat's fans. I'd still rather live in Seattle!

Yes it is tough because your team is so easy to dislike 😉

CONGRATS to the Patriots.

It was a good game with the exception of the bone headed play called at the end.

I am pretty sure my dislike of your team goes back to the days we suffered through Belichik as coach in Cleveland - wikipedia:

Cleveland Browns
From 1991 until 1995, Belichick was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. During his tenure in Cleveland he compiled a 36–44 record, leading the team to the playoffs in 1994, his only winning year with the team. Coincidentally, his one playoff victory during his Browns tenure was achieved against the Patriots in the wild card round during this postseason. In Belichick's last season in Cleveland the Browns finished 5–11, despite starting 3-1. In November of that year in the middle of the ongoing football season, Browns owner Art Modell had announced he would move his franchise to Baltimore after the season. After first being given assurances that he would coach the transplanted Baltimore Ravens, Belichick instead was fired on February 15, 1996—one week after the shift was officially announced.

The half time show was pretty weak. Lenny Kravitz played maybe 6 notes 😉 and then disappeared. No other instrument-playing-musicians were reported. Only dancing sharks and palm trees. The fire works display was cool. Too bad they couldnt work in more of Lenny.

That's a tremendous graphic gondicar -- way cool -- thanks! Cool -- now it's C's turn to recycle, shed this 'mortgaging for the future' mindset & again add green to the montage

Just as Bourque had a tremendous career coda in Colo., same Paul Pierce in DC -- no letoff in level of play w/those guys & That's what C's gotta do...............Nice Going Pats!

C's have a truckload of picks. They'll need 3,4 years to put it together. Cool

Congrats to the Patroits and their fans. Was a good game and with the game on the line the Patroits made the play to win it.

So true, what's the saying, a game of inches.

A W is a W - no doubt, no question, congrats to the Patriots.

I want to say it was lucky, that if the Seahawks would have just done what EVERY OTHER COACH/TEAM IN THE LEAGUE would have done, the outcome would have been different.

But NONE of that matters, they didn't, the Patriots WON and a W is in the books.

Congrats again.

Should they have been allowed to go to the Super Bowl in the first place due to those de-flated balls in that other game? How many other other games were there with deflated balls that nobody checked after the initial check?

But the Super Bowl is Big Money, which is why nothing was done. No one will deny they are a great team, but de-flate gate should have had consequences, and probably won't beyond getting rid of the equipment guy caught on camera taking those balls into the bathroom.

gina! thank you for your congratulatory remarks. you sound like most football fans here and around the world.

always a pleasure.

did you think Brown jumping that route was cool or what. how about the Pats O line zone blocking the 'Hawks stunts? Vince lined left creating a lane for Collins and Hightower...

I mean, your insight is so valuable...

Here are some things to consider as to the outcome of the game.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/sports/wp/2015/02/02/bill-belichick-made-a-sneaky-smart-decision-that-might-have-contributed-to-fateful-play-call-by-pete-carroll/

I think Bill Bellicheck is a seasoned coach, not swayed by what if thinking. Like a grand champion chessboard player, he is always thinking two moves ahead, and that is why they were able to win. Other coaches would have used the time out, but he did not.

Why are the Patriots lumped in with the Bruins, Celtics, and Red Sox in the above graphic? The latter 3 belong to the city of Boston, whereas the Patriots belong to 5 other states in the region. That would technically make Boston a 3-sport town, right?

Lets not get picky - the Giants are called NY but reside in a swamp in NJ

But EMR, they are named "the New York Giants", implying the team is from the city of New York. The Patriots don't even claim to be from Boston, nor are they located there. The Giants at least name themselves after the city. I think Boston should be recognized as a 3-sport town.

Did the Pats get 28 points for that goal line pick?

Seattle lost because the Pats overcame a 10-point deficit in the 4th quarter and Butler made an outstanding defensive play to finish it off.

If Butler doesn't make that play chances are it's a Seattle TD regardless of where Lynch is on the field. So is it such a horrible call if it's a TD catch right there?

Seattle had a chance at the end, but to imply it was their game to lose - when they weren't even in the lead - is presumptuous and discredits what the Pats were able to accomplish against that vaunted Seattle defense.
