Nike/Colin Kaepernick

After reading that I feel better when I see the video of the cop here in SC blasting away Walter Scott in the back. Since blacks kill other blacks, that makes it all good. What a silly a$$ argument to make.
Wow, so informing people of another tragedy that blacks in America have dealt with is minimizing and arguing. Sure glad your reading comprehension suffers cause it's more important to seek out confrontation where none exists.

Until the zoom in on the socks. Strikes me as kinda . . . well . ..just weird that people feel the need to look so close at every detail of these guys.
There is so much to see, hear, and take from the Kaepernick story, and some see that mistake because that’s all they choose to take from it. Why? The answers are very telling. I agree that the socks were a mistake, but god forbid he lashes out while seeing what transpired. How dare he lash out in error. I agree that the players should probably stay in the locker rooms to take away the platform since some are so incredibly fragile and sensitive. This is all blatant racism. These same people hate Obama, hate Maxine Waters, hate illegal immigrants....what do they all have in common? Gee, what could it be?

You are exactly right. A bunch of stats about how blacks kill blacks to minimize the very situations that these people are protesting to begin with. People are aware that there is black on black crime just as white on white crime exists. What does it have to do with what these protests are about?

I don't give a ratsass about some sports guys raggedy smelly old socks.

[ What does it have to do with what these protests are about?
It's simple. Both go hand in hand. If black lives really matter, both issues need to be addressed. Yet, one is way easier to politicize and gets media focus. A police officer kills a black man and everyone in the USA that owns a TV, a phone, or a laptop knows about it. A black kid gets gunned down in some inner city and you might get local coverage on the indie TV station or page 5 of the metro section in the newspaper. You appear to be just looking at the situation from the perspective of those protesting with an agenda and I'm attempting to place emphasis on the big picture.

It's all of a piece.

I’m not saying that black on black crime doesn’t exist or shouldn’t be addressed. The point is that it’s not the issue they are protesting. When a rep of the government abuses power and it’s shown on the media, the go to deflection is “well, blacks kill blacks” as if that is the be all end all answer. Nowhere in that article does it mention that there are a lot of situations where cops are wrong and folks die or how it’s proven by statistics that blacks are unfairly targeted in traffic stops. Talk about agenda driven. Jeez.

Thanks for clarifying your position sckeys. The NFL protests, more often than not, attach themselves to the BLM movement, yet I never hear any mention of what I brought up when I go and hear people speak or read any material from their organization. If the movement wants to be more effective, in my opinion, they need to practice what they preach and focus on what their name implies or call themselves "some black lives matter".

I’m more into the “lives matter” way of thinking and agree that some folks will push anything. I see your point in that there are many, too many, issues that need attention. The state that I enjoy living in love them some bible, law and order, values, until it comes to educating kids, punishing the huge problem of domestic violence/abuse and the elephant of racism. Decades of failure there. I just don’t see the nfl protests as hatred for our country, flag, or military. They could use the same measures for other issues. Beer prices at stadiums could be in there.

Yeah, this Flag and the Country it represents Sucks, But I'll take the paycheck and buy a new car with it....
This is about money to you? Now he shouldn’t buy a car? Because someone is paid fairly, he shouldn’t stand up for the slaughter of unarmed blacks? I think you should zoom in some more and keep searching. I recommend you just finally admit to hating brown people, and stop with the charade already.
BIGV: “This is why Trump won. You call me a racist, so I’ll prove you wrong by voting for a racist.”

This is exactly why I continuously refer to the William F. Buckley quote about Liberals. It is you who always brings up the race card, why? because my take is one you can't believe exists. Nowhere, have I ever referred to the color of one's skin, but because my opinion is different than you I must be a racist! lol
You wonder why I don't like "Discussing" these issues with you? lol
You are a Troll who will have to get in the last word.

. . .the socks were a mistake,
Why were the socks a mistake?
