Sunday is nice.

I love college football best, but do enjoy the execution at the NFL level. The likes of Brady, or a well schemed defense. And the tackling. That is probably what I love best about the NFL the tackling is much better than college.

NFL is a nice laid back day for me. Saturday is a blood pumping, hoot and hollering, passion filled 15 hours worth.

How does an NFL team score 57 points? 😮

In a word...Deshaun

Having a capable QB has breathed life into that team.

Patriots fall to 2-2. Offense again looked pretty good. Defense on the other hand continues to give up big plays. Too many. They actually made some big stops on third down, but got penalties to keep the defense on the field. Lot's to improve on. Short week. Tampa on Thursday.

A quarter of the way into the season and Bills and Rams are in first place in they're respective divisions.

That Denver defense is shutting down the run so far.

Pats' defense is horrible. I'm sure Belicheck will make the necessary adjustments. Always does.

How about that lateral play as time ran out?

Entirely changed the cover on the team and the over/under.

Worked for me! 😛

Patriots were lucky to get a win last night. They almost gave the game away to Tampa with all the penalties, and the two turnovers by Brady. We'll take the win though.
Defense showed a little improvement, especially the secondary, which I thought would be a stregnth to begin with.

On another note, the NFL should get rid of Thursday night Football. They don't need it. Already enough pro football in prime time.

I think that horse has left the barn. The same thing was kind of said about Monday Night Football decades ago.

You talking Monday night? Brutal, I had the Skins.

I watch games with people and they are always like, "what are you worried about, you're +x and they are only up by y and there is only z time left? The life of a sports bettor, you've seen it all the good and the bad and you've likely seen it more than once. I was already worried when KC stopped the clock and kicked with :08 left. Because I've won and lost on stupid time expiring KO plays like that before and knew what can happen. I actually just sat motionless and quiet in my chair with a smirk on my face knowing there were thousands of people out there that were either euphoric or inconsolable on that play. Would've been a good one to be at a Vegas sportsbook for.

Coot you may or may not appreciate this, but you'll know. Two years ago I was in a Vegas sportsbook with a BYU ML when they opened at Lincoln. Yeah, it was nuts and so was I. The highs on plays like that are really high and make up for those bad beats.

I did play the under last night. All year and all week everyone saying how bad the Pats D was...Tampa isn't good enough nor consistent enough to score a bunch on them. And without Gronk had to figure NE's O wouldn't be that great either, you know how much Brady relies on him. Tampa really disappointed though. Tough loss for them.

You could see that one coming too. Armstrong's poor clock management (twice) on the Huskers last drive. Leaving one second on the clock for a Hail Mary.

I didn't have the money line on it, but I did have BYU.

A bunch of us got it "right" in the Pick 'Em league, however, the local line was at +3 1/2 at game time. That didn't work out quite as well. 😉

The Green Bay Dallas game was very enjoyable. Glad to see the Pack going into Dallas and getting a win.

Aaron Rodgers is just an outstanding quarterback.

If I had to build a team from all of the quarterbacks I have witnessed playing over the last 40 yrs
it would be hard not to pick him as my starter. He is one of the best all around qb's I have ever seen.

In my pick 'em league I got the first nine games wrong. NINE! I couldn't have done that if I tried!

In the rush to be politically correct, where athletes lose their jobs merely due to Allegations of domestic abuse or whatever else, before ever being charged or tried...

...will be interesting to see what happens w/that Dolphins assistant -- it's as common in pro sports (maybe more so) as anywhere -- will he be stood up as an example, thus making coaches, trainers, other employees also subject to random testing

it's not sports, just it's own fucked-up self-contained fantasy world/bottomless well of $$$$ and more $$$$$$$$$$

**I guess he resigned

How stupid do you have to be to do something like that? That's like something a 20-year old college kid would do, not an NFL coach.

Just speculating but I would bet some pressure was put on him to step down.

What the hell was he thinking?!?!

Sounds like JJ Watt is out again.

Is Teddy Brdigewater coming back?

Last week was my roughest week yet as well.

Philly at Carolina is pretty interesting tonight. Only a Sun Belt college game so NFL will get my primary Thursday attention for a change and it is a pretty good one!

I think he's out until Week 6 at least from last season's injury.

Enjoyed that game tonight. Eagle D was great. Gotta like the toughness Wentz plays with. Carolina hurt themselves multiple times, but Eagles earned it.

So the yahoo straight up pick'em league...are we down to just 3 of us playing out of the 6 that joined? Weak. You guys are better than that!

When you forget to put your picks in one week (me) you are pretty much screwed for the season.

If we put some $ on it I would probably be more attentive. Just a thought.

Sorry. 🙁

Hemp! How are you 0-5 in the fantasy league? I didn't even want to play and I'm 3-2. You gonna get your first win vs me today?

Not too many interesting match ups today. A few surprises though:

Jets and Pats battle to break the 3-way tie - who knew?

Also, in the "who knew?" column, Jags-Rams might be an interesting game. Rams seem to be doing well in LA, much better than The Chargers. Still not sure they totally thought that move through. Now you have 2 teams that also have similar color sets in the same city: White, Yellow, and Blue. Why would anyone in LA care about the Chargers and their tiny high school stadium?

Steelers have to rebound against the only unbeaten team in the league. The Chiefs are looking good early, but unless the AFC is still weak by the end of the season, I don't see an Andy Reid/Alex Smith team being much of a threat down the stretch.

Packers are up against Minnesota's backup QB, hopefully the defense will be able to have an easier day than last week's grind.
