Netanyahu Addresses Congress Tues 3/3

You can watch it live, so you know what is going on, and we should know what is going on, don't get your info. just from news people telling you what to think, watch for yourself.
Tomorrow, at 11 a.m. ET, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel will address a joint meeting of Congress. The address is an opportunity for you to hear from the leader one of the U.S's closest allies about the grave threats we face from some factions of Islam and Iran, as Congress tries to work with him to find solutions.
Tune in at speaker.gov/live.
For those who missed it, Netanyahu has it on his Twitter (scroll down to the video that says 7h - meaning 7 hours ago. It is 44 minutes long, it is the complete speech).
It is also on John Boehner's website
http://www.speaker.gov/
During part of Netanyahu's visit, Boehner presented Netanyahu with a bust of Winston Churchill among other things. It was a historic visit for the Congress and for America. To have a leader of another country addressing Congress, that is historic.

I'll be watching!
House of Cards Season 3. I like my fiction straight up.

For some reason he speaks like a simpleton and used tired cliches in his speeches and its hard to listen to him for too long. Iran bad -US-Israel -good.

The US and Israel have their faults; not all good. But as Baboo from Seinfeld would say while wagging his finger "Iran is very very bad"

It is a shame that the US Congress is letting itself be used by a foreign leader for a campaign stump speech. Not surprised though, he did the same thing during his last campaign.

I don't follow politics as heavy duty as most of you, I do pay attention to local and state stuff here in RI and I listen to the BBC every night and most days. I have a decent grasp of world events and I've got to say that Netanyahu has more balls in his pinky finger than Obama could ever dream of having.
just a humble opinion.

Any reasonable person watching this canunderstand why Obama desparately didn't want this speech given and has spent the last weeks futilely attempting to either stop it or undermine it. Netanyahu is a politician and far from perfect. He is not even that popular in Israel. But he is also a statesman who speaks easily and with simple clarity about what is at stake and makes the pygmies of the Obama administration look like the nothings that they are. Of course the left will say it's a campaign speech or whatever, as if he wouldn't have given the same speech in the absence of any election. This is life and death and as always with these things Obama seems to take it as seriously as his golf game.

Despite protestations that this is all about "not meeting with foreign leaders so close to the election" Kerry and Biden did meet with Bibi's leading opponent Herzog last week.
I think this has most to do with Obama/Bibi disliking each other intensely and less to do with "protocol"

Kerry and Biden did meet with Bibi's leading opponent Herzog last week.
Herzog might win an election in two weeks.
Did Kerry or Biden address the Knesset?

Funny, I think any reasonable person can agree that Iran shouldn't have a nuclear weapon, after that there is understandable disagreement on how to try and stop that from happening.
How did Obama try and stop the speech?

Did Kerry or Biden address the Knesset?
Again; the issue is that It was stated that they don't meet with foreign dignitaries close to their election. Never stated that they don't address someone. Merely responding to their discrepancy.

He's a leader. Also a good example of a foreigner coming to the USA to do a job an American won't do --- acting like a President.

Dawn of a new American Age. We now have two Presidents, the elected one in the White House and the highest ranking Congressional leader appointed by the opposition party.

But he is also a statesman who speaks easily and with simple clarity about what is at stake and makes the pygmies of the Obama administration look like the nothings that they are.
Pygmies? Really?
I say no money to the war mongering Israel! Bibi has let it known how little he thinks of the American People before. What do we give them? 20 - 40 billion a year? Then he drums up support for another war so Israel can take more of our money and arms so they can steal more land.
Doug your support for Israel at the cost of the United States is disgusting. Pygmies? How vile. Maybe you should consider homesteading in Israel.

Didn't you say the same kind of thing about Putin?
Members of Congress are elected to represent each of the United States of America.
When did Israel become the 51st state?

Hats off to alloak for knowing how to diffuse the Iran situation, more so than our military and intelligence department! Tell us alloak, how can you be sure that netanyahu's proposal for war is indeed a better solution than Obama's proposal to freeze the nuclear program?
Doughron, so much for just "disagreeing and criticizing" the President. Now, he and his teammates are "pygmies" and "nothings". Way to keep it respectable and classy.

He's acting like a foreign candidate using the US congress to stump for votes while at same time as thumbing his nose at the sitting US President while on US soil. It does take balls, I'll give you that.

So what is the "right" way to lead this situation alloak? To rant like Netanyahu and declare war on Iran? Obama's only leading if he chooses that path? Where did you get your magic 8-ball?

Obama wants to make sure Iran has nukes before he leaves office. This will insure a nuclear counterbalance against Israel, and will insure they're no longer the sole nuclear power in the region.

I cannot respect a statement like that alloak. You pulled that right from your a$$. You have nothing to base that stupid, asinine statement on.
What do you consider the region? Ever hear of Pakistan? Why don't you think their nuclear arsenal does not threaten Israel?
What evidence do you have that Obama wants world wide nuclear proliferation?
That statement really lowers my opinion of you.

What evidence do you have that Obama wants world wide nuclear proliferation?
He wants a counterbalance to Israel. If he didn't he would be stopping Iran from nuke development.

Aside from direct military involvement, destroying every single centrifuge and killing every last Iranian nuclear scientist, how does that happen?

Spot on!
And what about Israel's spying ON US and secretly developing their own nukes???
Bunch of fu$%ing hypocrites.
I sure as hell don't want ANY nation deciding our foreign policy should be guided by them.

Destroying every centrifuge would be a good start.

Interesting, I just heard that exact sentiment almost word for word on limbaugh's show.
I guess I know for sure where you get your brilliant ideas.

Clean DHS bill has passed.
Obama wins again against the republiclown controlled Congress.

No way. I doubt Rush would ever say that. I'm listening to jazz on youtube.

So since Obama hasn't invaded Iran, he supports them having a nuclear weapon?

Are targeted strikes like that considered an invasion? I honestly don't know. Not the military buff others here are.
